Most RPGs require players to experience the whole story and lore of the game to give more context about its world. To get a better handle on the endgame content, developers use campaigns as a way to introduce systems and gameplay mechanics. It’s no surprise that Last Epoch adopts this approach and lets gamers dive right into the Monolith grind if they choose to. This guide will help ARPG veterans to skip the campaign and head straight into the end game.
How to Campaign Skip in Last Epoch
Players should note that the campaign skip method can only be done by alt characters since you need dungeon keys. New characters won’t have any reliability in getting these items, so their focus should be on leveling faster. However, alt characters have access to shared stashes from previous gameplays, so they can use dungeon keys to farm EXP and skip the main quest altogether.
We will focus on the Lightless Arbor, Soulfire Bastion, and Temporal Sanctum dungeons. These content pieces will allow us to sufficiently level up and unlock passive points and Idol slots to grind safely in Monoliths. Here is the route you need to follow to skip the campaign:
- Lightless Arbor – You must do the Lightless Arbor first since it’ll take you into the Imperial Era. Once you start a new character, do some parts of the campaign to unlock this dungeon in the Ruined Era. You can find it past the Council Chambers and north of The Shrouded Ridge.
Doing the Lightless Arbor will let you go through Titan’s Hollow and Titan’s Rest, which you must finish to complete the dungeon. Afterward, you can unlock The Corrupted Lake after getting the Vault reward. Entering this zone will give us access to the Imperial Era.
- Soulfire Bastion – You gain access to the Soulfire Bastion after you enter the Imperial Era via The Risen Lake. The dungeon can be found northeast of The Felled Wood. It’s best to use your shield effectively during this sequence, especially during the boss fight. Upon completion, you can enter The Soulfire Furnace via the Soulfire Keep, which will bring you to the Divine Era. Afterward, you will appear in the Kolheim Pass near Champion’s Gate.
- Temporal Sanctum – You must do the campaign part in this sequence until you reach Maj’Elka. Afterward, go west to The Shining Cove from the Oracle’s Abode to find a time rift to lead you to the Ruined Coast of the Ruined Era. You can find the Temporal Sanctum from there. Once you have completed the dungeon, you will be directed towards The Radiant Dunes in the Divine area to put you directly to chapter nine.
After this sequence, you should be eligible to do Monoliths since the minimum requirement for the Temporal Sanctum is level 55. This is also when you get all passive points and Idol Slots. However, you still need to complete the last part of the campaign to unlock Monoliths fully, but it’s a small price to pay since you skipped about 80% of all the main story missions.
Need to Know
- First new characters can technically do the campaign skip if, and only if, they have a friend to boost them. Otherwise, they won’t have any mechanic to help them enter these dungeons.
- You can still reach Monoliths simply by power leveling to the required levels. However, you will miss essential stats like Passive Points and Idol slots.
- If you choose to level boost, you must do specific campaign chapters to unlock other benefits. Fortunately, there’s no need to do whole main story quest to get your Passive Points and Idol slots.
- If you choose to do the campaign skip, you can skip the Lagon Boss fight. His fight is described as one of the most annoying ones in the game, so being able to bypass it helps a lot. In addition, you can still get all the bonus stats and perks without having to kill this boss.
