Players can now inspect their weapons and marvel at their gun skins and decals. This feature arrived as a very recent addition in Rainbow Six Siege X, and it has no real impact on your gameplay. Rainbow Six Siege X Weapon Inspection
Weapon skins aren’t crucial in Siege X gameplay, but it does provide players with a layer of immersion. However, for years, gamers could only appreciate their cosmetics during gunfights, so being able to inspect our guns lets us fully appreciate the skins and decals we own. Here's how you can check out your cosmetics in-game:
- The default key for weapon inspection is I, but you can remap it in the Customize Controls.
- To change the weapon inspect key binding, go to Options and select Controls. There should be an option to Customize Controls, then look for Inspect Weapon. Bind it to your preferred key.
You can do Weapon Inspection in Dual Front and the 6v6 Game Mode. Weapon Skins do not have any impact on gameplay, and they are purely for cosmetic purposes. Ubisoft might consider adding more gun animations during inspection animations in the future.
