Zulrah remains OSRS’ premier solo profit boss. While the mechanics of the dance haven't changed, the gear and movement meta have evolved significantly. With Project Rebalance and new 3-tick weaponry, the days of the 7-way gear switch are over.
Boss Profile: Zulrah
Zulrah is Level 725 and has 500 Hitpoints.
| Stat | Value | Strategy |
|---|---|---|
| Magic Level | 300 | 70% of her Magic Defense comes from this. |
| Defense Level | 300 | High; this makes Confliction Gauntlets essential for accuracy. |
| Elemental Weakness | Fire (+50%) | Exploit this with Fire Surge or Eye of Ayak during Green/Red phases. |
| Ranged Weakness | Heavy | Her Blue phase is susceptible to Scorching Bow or Heavy Crossbows. |
Requirements and Entry Stats
- Quest: Regicide (Started)
- Agility: 76 (For the Zul-Andra shortcut)
| Stat | Minimum | Efficient | Why? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Magic | 75 | 90+ | Most of Zulrah's HP is melted during the Green/Red phases. |
| Ranged | 75 | 90+ | Essential for the Blue (Tanzanite) phase. |
| Defense | 70 | 80+ | Helps tank the snakelings and random range hits. |
| Prayer | 45 | 77+ | Augury and Rigour are massive DPS increases. |
Gear Loadouts
Use the Mid-Level setup to learn the boss, and the High-End setup to maximize your 4.5M+ GP/hr profit.
Magic: The Arcane Melter
Used for: Serpentine (Green) and Magma (Red) phases.
| Slot | Mid-Level | High-End |
|---|---|---|
| Weapon | Eye of Ayak | Tumeken's Shadow |
| Gloves | Confliction Gauntlets | Tormented Bracelet |
| Armor | Bloodbark (Updated) | Ancestral Robes |
| Shield | Book of the Dead | Elidinis' Ward (f) |
| Ring | Ring of Suffering (i) | Magus Ring |
📌Note: The Confliction Gauntlets are the biggest game-changer this year. They reroll your accuracy if you miss, making the mid-tier Eye of Ayak feel almost as consistent as a Shadow.
Ranged: The Scale-Piercer
Used for: Tanzanite (Blue) phase.
| Slot | Mid-Level | High-End |
|---|---|---|
| Weapon | Scorching Bow | Twisted Bow or Bowfa |
| Armor | Hueycoatl Hide | Masori (f) or Crystal Armor |
| Neck | Necklace of Anguish | Necklace of Anguish |
| Ring | Ring of Suffering (i) | Venator Ring |
| Ammo | Amethyst Arrows | Dragon Arrows |
📌Note: The Venator Ring is the speedrun choice for high-end players. Its passive bounce clears Snakelings automatically, allowing you to focus 100% of your clicks on Zulrah.
Rotation Strategy: The Static Pillar Method
In 2026, we’ve moved away from chasing Zulrah around the map. Instead, we use a Universal 3-Tile Layout that exploits the boss's pathing.
The Universal Tile-Markers
-
North Point (White): Your default starting anchor.
-
West Pillar (Blue): Your safe zone for Rotation 3 and Snakeling trapping.
-
East Edge (Green): Your Jad-Phase and Red-phase safe-spot.
The Modern Pattern Guide
-
Rotations 1 & 2: Stay anchored at the North Point. Only move when the venom clouds are directly under you. The Confliction Gauntlets ensure you don't lose DPS while standing your ground.
-
Rotation 3 (The Mage-Start): Immediately run to the West Pillar. This traps Snakelings behind the scenery, allowing your Venator Ring to bounce damage off them and into Zulrah.
-
Rotation 4 (The Hidden Pattern): Anchor on the East Edge. This tile is exactly out of reach of Zulrah’s Magma tail-whip, letting you cast continuously without moving.
-
The Jad Phase: Stand on the East Edge. Watch the color of the projectile in the air, not Zulrah's head. Green = Range, Blue = Magic.
The Inventory
-
Moonlight Antelope Meat: Heals 26 HP and cures Venom instantly.
-
Prayer Regeneration Potion: One dose lasts 8 minutes. No more sipping mid-fight.
-
Divine Battlemage Potion: Boosts both Magic and Defense to tank the Blue phase.
Pofitability & Verdict
Zulrah is the perfect bridge to end-game Raids.
-
Efficiency: 30–35 Kills per hour
-
Profit: 3.8M – 4.5M GP/hr
The Golden Rule: If you are still using a Toxic Blowpipe as your main weapon, sell it. The Eye of Ayak + Confliction Gauntlets combo provides a more consistent, lower-stress experience with a much higher profit margin.
