New World Factions
There are three different factions in Aeternum, which control various territories on the map. Each of these groups will sport various appearances and bear contrasting ideologies. Here are all the Factions in New World:
- Syndicate
- Marauders
- Covenant
The Syndicate focuses on gathering knowledge in secrecy via their guile, wits, and intellect. Marauders value strength above all else and want to establish a free nation with the help of their ruthless martial force. The Covenant is a divine order that seeks to cleanse the land of blasphemous heretics and defilers to restore true justice and holiness to the realm.
How to Unlock Factions?
Factions are not unlocked right away from the very beginning. A player can only join an alliance once they have completed the Commitment to the Cause main story. Adventurers should note that they can only join companies that are members of their chosen group. Joining a faction will also enable PvP fights against other PvP-flagged gamers.
The problem with factions is that some groups are more popular, so they might gain more influence than others. Fortunately, players can change their allegiance and switch to another camp. Adventurers can do this right away for the first time, and any subsequent faction change can only occur every 120 hours.
What Do Factions Do?
Factions are one of the game's most essential and significant features since it unlocks tons of new content for players. You gain access to other systems besides the PvP scene upon joining one. These include the following:

Missions are tasks provided by any Faction Representative, which will reward XP, New World coins, and Faction Tokens. These alliance-specific currencies can be used to acquire faction-exclusive designed gear. Furthermore, this quest also increases your group's influence in a specific territory, which is needed for territory wars.
Faction Wars are mostly large-scale battles over specific areas for control. When two groups reach a certain amount of Influence in a territory, a conflict starts, triggering the engagement. Winning these skirmishes awards the victor ownership of the zone.
New World Best Faction
There are no functional differences in joining specific alliances. Players will not get any special or unique advantages in joining a particular group. New World has designed each faction to provide the same benefits and functions as the others. However, it is a different topic when we talk about popularity.
The Syndicate is the most popular faction among all the groups in Aeternum. This will be your first choice if you prefer to be a member of an alliance with a high population. However, players should note that smaller companies in highly congested groups will have more difficulty getting their territory. Some players are less likely to be selected for the Territory Wars for populated associations.
The second most populated faction would be the Marauders, and the last is the Syndicate. The popularity of each group may vary from server to server, so you should study which alliances are more active in your data center. One advantage of being in a more minor faction is that you get to participate in more Territory Wars. Aside from this, you are more likely to gain ownership of the area you won due to the low number of eligible governors.

The Covenant will beckon you home for those who place justice and holiness. If you think strength is the most crucial aspect, you might find like-minded people in the Marauders.
