Last Epoch’s newest season introduces new items such as Runes of Corruption, Timesglass Fragments, Omen Idols, and gear items. All this is tied to the Omen Window system and its new Pinnacle boss, the Vision of the Observer. This guide will show you what you can expect with the Omen Windows, their mechanics, and the new rewards you can get from completing them.
What Are Omen Windows?
Omen Windows will begin to appear during the Campaign and Endgame. Slay swarms of enemies within the ring of an Omen Window to challenge a powerful Omen enemy. Omens drop the new Timeglass Fragments, Runes of Corruption, Corrupted Items, Omen Idols, and Idol Altars. The Omen Window mechanic has five difficulty tiers, with higher tiers offering better rewards.
Your goal in the Omen Window is to kill the boss, but it will be invulnerable at the start. During this phase, you must defeat Fractured enemies while remaining inside a ring. Leaving the ring will cause a 10-second countdown to begin, and you will fail the encounter if that countdown reaches zero. Re-entering the ring will cause the countdown to slowly increase back to 10 seconds.
Killing Fractured enemies while inside the ring fills up a progress bar at the bottom of the screen. Phase 2 will begin when the bar is full; the Omen will consume the remaining Fractured enemies to empower itself and will become vulnerable to damage.
Omen Window Rewards
After defeating the Omen, loot will drop, including a new currency and items. You can expect these items to drop from its loot pool:
- Timeglass Fragments
- Runes of Corruption
- Corrupted items
- Omen Idols
- Idol Altars
Omen Windows come in several tiers of difficulty, which increase as you progress through the eras. Completing higher-tier Omen Windows drops more Timeglass Fragments and loot, as well as having increased chances to drop rare Idol Altars.
Accessing Greater Omen Windows
Greater Omen Windows spawn at the end of an Omen Window Echo Chains in the Monolith of Fate. Challenging these spawns stronger enemies and spawns two Omen bosses. When a Greater Omen Window is completed, a Timeglass Core will form. Interacting with the core will give the Traveler the choice to either spend Timeglass Fragments, to spawn an Echo Chain of their choice, or to shatter it to gain additional Timeglass Fragments.
How Timeglass Fragments Work
This item is a seasonal currency used to buy Corrupted items. As you complete Omen Windows, you will receive these as a standard reward. You can spend these Timeglass Fragments with Apophis at the center of the Monolith of Fate.
