Vaults are one of the best ways to guarantee access to some of the best equipment and loot in the game. These are often filled to the brim with Rare Chests, Slurp Barrels, and the new Sprite Chests, which can all prove invaluable in any match. If you want a competitive edge in the lobby, knowing where these vaults are and how to get inside one already gives you a massive boost.
All Vault Locations and Keycards Guide
Currently, there are 8 vaults present throughout the map. The locations of these vaults are static, meaning they do not rotate after each match. However, knowing the locations of the vaults is only half the battle. The other half is obtaining the appropriate Keycard for the vault. Out of the 8 vaults, 6 of them require the Rare Vault Key, while the final 2 require a rarer variant called the Epic Vault Keycard.

How to get Vault Keys in Fortnite Chapter 7 S3
Currently, there are no known methods for guaranteeing a vault key. They are part of the game's loot pool and can be looted from almost any chest. Since they are found in chests, players won't have to defeat bosses to obtain keys. Here are some ways to boost your chances of finding a key:
- Play with a squad: While it won't directly increase drop chance, 4 players working together are certainly more efficient than going solo.
- Drop in Wonkeeland or Frosted Flats: These locations have a high density of chests and are great for maximizing early looting.
Battlewoods Secret Mythic Loot Room
One of the newest discoveries is the Battlewoods secret loot room. Unlike other vaults, this one requires 500 Gold to open, and the loot inside is randomized. While not a traditional vault, it functions similarly to one, providing players with randomized loot and a speculated increased chance for Mythic Sprites. Players have reported finding Sprite Chests, Mythic Sprites, tons of Gold, and more. The loot room is found inside the lower part of a self-storage building. You’ll know it's the right building thanks to a bright yellow container outside.
