The Horadric Cube makes its return to Diablo 4’s Lord of Hatred expansion, featuring new ways to modify gear and even craft Mythic Uniques. While the game offers some basic recipes to craft gear, there are secret interactions with the Horadric Cube that can fine-tune your gear’s affixes and stats to create the ultimate build. This guide will show you how the Horadric Cube works so you can get right to crafting.
Horadric Cube Features
Once you receive the cube, you can now use it to add an affix to a Rare item, reroll a random affix to another category, or target an affix and reroll that to the same type (Unique values can be re-rolled). You can also remove a random affix from an item if you don't like it. If you have an item that has all the affixes you want, you can Transfigure it, adding an extra Legendary Aspect into that item
Item modification isn't the only feature available; it can also transmute items. If you place three of the same gear items in the cube, it will create a whole new random item of the same type. This also applies to Uniques, giving you a new stat roll of the Unique you placed in the cube.
With Enhanced Primordial Dust, you can upgrade a Common item into a Unique, giving you the opportunity to target a specific item that you need for your build. Lastly, the Cube can upgrade dungeon keys and Undercity Tributes by placing 5 of the same items.
Secret Horadric Cube Interactions
The cube can give you easy access to some of the best gear and loot drops in the game as long as you know how to use it. Here are some of the hidden interactions that you can do:
- Create Ancestral Uniques on demand by removing all the affixes of an Ancestral item until it becomes a Common. Then, use Enhanced Primordial Dust to upgrade it into a Unique, giving you a guaranteed Ancestral Unique.
- If you have 5 stacks of a Legendary Tribute, you can place them in the Horadic Cube to make a Mythic Tribute.
- You can target craft a Unique Charm by placing a Unique item that you want to convert, then placing 3 Unique Charms of any kind into the cube. Then, place an Enhanced Primordial Dust, Raw Primordial Dust, and Infused Horadric Resin to get the Unique Charm.
