Black Ops 7 has introduced its own original guns into the mix, with their own stats and weapon performance quirks. Some players have gravitated towards certain guns for how reliable and easy they are to use, while others are too difficult to use unless in very niche situations. This tier list will show you all the best and worst weapons in Black Ops 7 to give you an advantage in Multiplayer.
S-Tier
M15 MOD 0
Despite being the starting default weapon you get when you first start Black Ops 7, it is one of the best assault rifles in the game with its low recoil, decent range, and quick time-to-kill. With attachments, this gun can become a laser beam and is very easy to pick up and frag out with.
AK-27
The AK-27 has the highest damage per shot for an automatic weapon and has a blazing fast TTK if you can land your shots. While the recoil and control of this weapon can be difficult, adding attachments makes this weapon much more manageable to shoot.
Dravec 45
This SMG is one of the most stable guns in the game, being a veritable laser beam even without attachments. It also has an extremely fast fire rate that can easily burst down targets in close range while still putting out decent damage in medium range. While its damage falloff can be steep, the weapon is a great point-and-click gun.
Warden 308
As the only DMR on this tier list, the Warden 308 excels in its niche as a long-range alternative to a sniper rifle, being easy to land shots with, but it lacks the one-shot kill potential. Still, the Warden 308 is very easy to pick up for long-range fights and can reliably kill targets in 3 to 2 shots.
Ryden 45K
The Ryden 45k is a solid SMG that has a perfect balance of close-range damage, fire rate, and recoil control. This gun shines bright when within its optimal distance, but falls off very harshly in damage once you reach the mid-range with it.
A-Tier
MXR-17
For an assault rifle, the weapon works fine with solid mid-range performance and recoil control, but it struggles with the slower fire rate without a damage increase to compensate for it, making it hard to compete with faster fire rate weapons.
Peacekeeper Mk1
Less of an assault rifle and more of an SMG, the Peacekeeper Mk1 works well in close-quarter combat, but the high recoil and handling stats in this gun don't really justify using it against other SMGs in S-tier.
Shadow SK
For a sniper rifle, the Shadow SK is as close to the classic one-shot sniper rifle as it gets. But this also means that it comes with all the challenges of a sniper, requiring you to hit your shots against players with full-auto weapons. Missing a shot with it means you’re likely to get pushed and die immediately after.
DS20 Mirage
The DS20 Mirage is a decent assault rifle with good damage for securing kills, but its quite unwieldy to use with its high recoil and low handling stats. This weapon is only best used when you’re immobile, as running and gunning with this gun is not viable.
Akita
The Akita is a full-auto shotgun, much like the AA-12, in that it can kill in close range. However, it trades lethality for ease of use in close range, as it can’t one-shot up close compared to the pump action shotgun on this list.
M34 Novaline
By itself, the Novaline is a fine DMR if there weren’t other DMRs, but the slow TTK it has compared to the Warden 308 makes this weapon inferior.
M10 Breacher
The Breacher occupies the role of a one-shot shotgun that can kill in point-blank range instantly. However, missing a shot with this weapon in close range also means certain death for you, as SMG users can burst you down just as quickly. A shotgun like this requires a bit of map knowledge to take full advantage of, but it will work extremely well in its niche.
Carbon 57
The Carbon 57 has a high ammo capacity amongst SMGs and can work well in medium range thanks to its longer damage falloff distance and recoil stats, but also has some middling damage that you’ll need to land your shots to make the weapon work.
X9 Maverick
The X-9 Maverick is a longer-range option for assault rifles, with its 3-round burst making it more reliable further down range, but it will struggle greatly in medium to close range because of that burst-fire mode.
VS Recon
Like the Shadow SK, the VS Recon fits the role of a one-shot sniper rifle and is identical to each other in one-shotting performance.
MPC-25
The MPC-25 is the run-and-gun SMG, with its high damage-per-shot value and superb handling stats. However, it is also extremely reliant on close-range fights as it is difficult to use in medium range and useless at long range.
B-Tier
M8A1
For a 4-burst rifle, the weapon’s TTK value is quite low due to the spacing in between bursts, making it extremely hard to justify using unless you’re holding down an angle.
Razor 9mm
The Razor 9mm has the fastest fire rate out of any gun in the game, but can only secure kills in the close range. While it excels in its CQC niche, anything past its optimal range is practically useless, making this gun only viable in smaller maps.
RK-9
The RK-9 has an unfortunate quirk of being a 3-round burst SMG when its direct competition works better in the same niche. In CQC, it fails to secure kills quickly, as it is out-ranged by other burst-fire guns.
C-Tier
Echo 12
The Echo-12 lacks the ease of use of the Akita and the killing power of the Breacher, situating this gun in an awkward spot. Overall, the other two shotguns are better alternatives to the Echo-12.
MK.78 / XM325
The LMGs, in general, are very lackluster, as the fast-paced nature of Black Ops 7 makes using this weapon type hard to justify. Since they both have low mobility and handling stats, the only viable use for these weapons is in objective maps, but most players can always outmaneuver you unless you’re holding a chokepoint.
XR-3 Ion
The XR-3 Ion is a unique 3-round burst sniper rifle that fails to secure the same TTK as its other sniper rifle sibling. The overall handling of this weapon is clunky and can be difficult to use even for experienced CoD players.
