In Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 zombies, the Dark Aether is folding in on itself, and Paradox Junction is the map where the Past and Future are intertwining. With the new map being live, it shifts from the past and future versions of Nuketown. Paradox Junction has an easter egg that provides the story behind the Demon Cloud explosion and a boss you need to defeat.
The new map doesn't have a Directed Mode to guide you, so if you want to solve the Paradox Junction main easter egg, you will require precision, tactics, and a powerful weapon. To help you uncover the easter egg and get some exclusive rewards, here's a full walkthrough guide.
Prerequisites and Set up for Paradox Junction
Before you can start the main quest, you need to establish a foothold on both timelines, which are The Past and The Future. Unlocking Pack-A-Punch is the only prerequisite you need to accomplish for the quest. Here's what you need to do.
- First, recover the Truck Keys from the body behind the Yellow House.
- Then survive the Rad-Hound rounds, which are rounds 5-7, so you can jump to The Past.
- Return to The Future so you can shoot the four Time-Knots in the temporal storm.
After completing these tasks, you'll unlock thePack-A-Punch needed for the next steps in the guide. Aside from unlocking Pack-A-Punch, you also need the right loadout. We recommend getting the Voyak KT-3 or an upgraded Swordfish AI for CC. Make sure you have Stamin-Up and Jugger-Nog in the early rounds to survive longer.
How to Craft the Blundergat
After you've completed the prerequisites, craft the Blundergat. It's an essential weapon needed for the easter egg. It's divided into four parts; here's where to look for them.
|

|

Once you've gathered the parts, you can craft the weapon in the workbench inside the moved truck.
How to Upgrade the Blundergat into the Sundergat
After crafting the Blundergat, you'll need to upgrade it into the Sundergat. The upgrade is key to advancing the quest. Here's what you need to do.
- Find the Fire Tornado, which spawns in one of three random spots in the Future.
- Approach it to release a trapped zombie.
- Lead the zombie to the truck workbench and kill it with the Blundergat to trap its essence.
- Repeat the steps above three times, then interact with the case in the Past to claim your Sundergat.
How to Get the Temporal Codes
Once you've got the Sundergat, you'll need to acquire the Temporal Codes to sync the two timelines. Here's what you need to do.
- Locate the charred Mannequin that hums. Use the filled Vial from the sink step on its counterpart in the Past.
- A 4-digit code will appear on the TV screens in the houses. Input this into the keypad found in the Past Yellow House basement to reveal The Warden's logs.
How to Fill the Cysts in the Soul Trial
After acquiring the Temporal Codes, you need to travel to The Past and interact with the Terminal in the bunker. You must defend three Loot Cysts simultaneously. Zombies will attempt to damage the Cysts. Use Frenzy Guard or Kazimir devices to keep them away. Once filled, a portal to the Demon Cloud arena will open behind the Nuketown sign. Enter the portal to start the Warden Boss battle.
How to Beat the Warden
The Warden Boss will take place under the mushroom cloud. The Wardern has three phases you need to watch out for to defeat it.
|
Phase |
What to Do |
|---|---|
|
Phase 1 |
The Warden is protected by a temporal shield. Focus on the Rad-Hounds and purple-eyed zombies. |
|
Phase 2 |
Use the Sundergat’s charged shot to disrupt The Warden’s purple laser beam. When he staggers, all players must focus fire on his chest core. |
|
Phase 3 |
The Warden will attempt a "Wipe" attack by charging a massive explosion. You must deal enough damage to break his stance before the timer hits zero. If he jumps, jump-slide to avoid the ground slam AOE. |
Paradox Junction Main Easter Egg Completion Rewards
After defeating the Warden, a cutscene will play. Once it’s finished, you’ll return to the lobby and receive exclusive rewards. Here’s everything you’ll receive from completing the easter egg quest.
