In Black Myth: Wukong, Mana is an all-important resource during combat, as many of your vital spells like Rock Solid, Cloud Step, and Immobilize need it. Other than resting in Shrines, the game doesn’t explicitly say how you can restore Mana while going through the map or in combat. Don’t worry though, for those having trouble figuring that out, this guide will explain the different methods of recovering Mana.
Gourd Effects
Your Gourd is the primary means of getting some mana mid-fight, but the default version doesn’t initially have that effect. One way to gain the effect is by using the Jade Essence Drink, which will restore some mana for you. You can stack this with the Turtle Tear Soak, which shares the same effect. Putting these two together will further boost the mana you gain per sip.
Armor Passives
The Galeguard armor set has the unique effect of granting you a small amount of Mana once you make 3 successful perfect dodges. While this requires skillful dodging on your part, this method gives you some mana to cast a couple of Rock Solids or one Immobilize spell.
Skill Tree Nodes
While these effects don’t exactly give you mana, they instead refund a portion of the cost to cast them. Specifically, the Spirit Shards node for Immobilize and Bold Venture node for Rock Solid will help alleviate the mana spending for using them the normal way. For Spirit Shards, you simply need to break the Immobilize of an enemy to get mana back, while Bold Venture rewards you for parrying attacks with Rock Solid.
For Rock Solid specifically, using the Fuming Ears relic effect “Sound as Bell” paired with Bold Venture will refund almost all the mana needed to cast it if you successfully parry an attack.
