Some of the default settings in ARC Raiders may not be the best options available, as some hidden features will help you up your game. From crosshair customization to enhanced audio, these can make your raids just a little bit easier for you. Here are the settings you should change before joining a raid.
Reticle/Crosshair Customization
You can change the default reticle/crosshair for each gun with your own custom version. This lets you pick the crosshair that best suits your style. To change it, do the following:
- Go to Settings
- Click on the Accessibility tab
- Under Accessibility, scroll down until you see the Crosshair section
- Click on Override Crosshair Shape to begin customization.
This lets you change the shape of your reticle, toggle the center dot, and adjust the length, width, height, and color. This can also let you decide whether the crosshair is affected by your line of sight.
Shadow Settings for Illumination
If you’re setting your graphics low for increased performance, make sure to leave the Shadows graphic setting at high. Shadows also affect the illumination in dark areas. By turning the Shadows to the highest settings, you get better visibility in the dark without turning on your flashlight, giving you a tactical advantage in indoor fights.
Night Mode Audio
Night Mode is an audio setting that increases the volume of quieter sounds, such as footsteps, looting, breaching, and other key audio cues. This setting helps you locate and better find other raiders, whether in an open area or inside buildings. To toggle it, do the following:
- Go to Settings
- Click on the Audio tab
- Underneath Output Mode, toggle Night Mode on.
Field of View Settings
The game’s default FoV value is at 70, which is very narrow and can affect your vision in spotting ARCs overhead or other raiders. You can bump up your FoV to 90 to better spot incoming threats.
