To truly maximize your Combat Power and utility, you'll need to master the Stigma System. What are Stigmas in AION 2
Stigmas are the most powerful skills available to every class in AION 2. They aren't just standard class abilities; they're build-defining skills that completely change how your character performs in combat.
Because they're so powerful, players need to understand how they work, how to upgrade them, and which ones complement their specific setup. Whether you're clearing PvE dungeons or climbing the ranks in PvP, the Stigmas you choose will form the backbone of your combat strategy.
How to Unlock Stigma Slots in Aion 2
In AION 2, you won't have access to Stigmas right away. The game officially lets you unlock them once your character reaches Level 22 and completes the Ascension quest "The One Who Hears the Voice." After you meet the requirements, you can use Stigma Shards to Unlock Any Stigma for your class directly from the Skills menu.
At the start, you can only equip one Stigma skill, though you can unlock multiple to test them out. As you progress and level up, you unlock additional Stigma slots, letting you equip up to 4 at the same time.
- Level 22: First Stigma Slot unlocked.
- Level 27: Second Stigma Slot unlocked.
- Level 32: Third Stigma Slot unlocked.
- Level 37: Fourth Stigma Slot unlocked.
While other versions of AION 2 let players equip up to 6 Stigmas at max level, the Global version is currently limited to 4.
Like regular skills, You can refund Stigmas for free. This means you can swap around and try different Stigmas freely without worrying about a high respec cost. If you switch your Stigmas for PvP and PvE, it's best to set up skill presets, since swapping them manually takes too long.
How to Collect Stigma Shards Fast
Stigma Shards are the exclusive currency required to unlock and level up your Stigma in the game. Here are three ways to get Stigma Shards in the game:
- The Shugo Festival: You can purchase up to 35 Stigma Shards per character here, costing 300 Shugo Coins each. You'll earn these coins by playing Shugo Festival minigames that pop up occasionally.
- The Nightmare Trade Shop (Growth): This shop unlocks when your character reaches the max level of 45. You can buy 35 Stigma Shards per character for 1,500 Phantasmal Fragments each. You'll earn these fragments by playing the Nightmare game mode.
- The Abyss Trade Shop (Growth): Also unlocked at level 45, this shop lets you buy a total of 200 Stigma Shards per character, but they're sold in "steps" with rising costs. The first 50 shards cost 10,000 Abyss Points each. The next 50 cost 15,000 each, the next 50 cost 20,000 each, and the final 50 cost 25,000 points each. You can farm Abyss Points through Abyss PvP, Supply Requests, the Arena, Sealed Dungeons, Strongholds, Dimensional Invasions, and limited-time events.
