The Warhammer Universe has such a rich lore, and it can take players weeks to even get through half of it. While most Space Marine 2 players focus on gearing up and progressing their class level rather than the lore itself, most of the community is still very much invested in the game’s backstory.For those interested, you can obtain some collectibles, known as Dataslates, in the world that can help you better understand the Warhammer verse.Not only can you get more knowledge from these collectibles, but you’ll also be able to unlock the Data Mining achievement if you collect them all.Here are all the locations of all the Dataslates in the game.

What are Dataslates
Dataslates are collectible items that provide players with information about the lore of Warhammer. You don't gain anything else from them. However, you can unlock an achievement if you collect all 35 of them.
All Dataslates Location
Kadaku
Kadaku has four missions you can engage in, and there are 10 Dataslates here.
Skyfire
- The first Dataslate in Skyfire can be found after the first air strike that ports you near a swamp. You can get the lore piece on a box past two explosive flowers at the end of the archway.
- The second Dataslate can be found a little past the ridge at the end of a bridge in the swamp area. After you defeat a bunch of Xenos in the surrounding area and cross the gap, there should be a small watchtower with a little puddle on the left. The Dataslate will be at the edge of the water.
- The third slate can be found inside a structure with a room full of dead Xenos where an exhaust turbine can be seen from a distance. Before you go to the objective, head to the left passage and climb the stairs. You should find the collectible at the end of it.
- After rendezvousing with the troops, you can find the last Dataslate at the next objective. Take the elevator to continue and you should find the slate to the right before heading up to the orbital gun atennae.
Inferno
- The first Dataslate in this mission can be found near the fort. To the right of this area, there should be an open bunker, and the piece should be inside on the left side of the hidden room.
- The second Dataslate can be found as you head towards the Observation Platform. In the area with a visible broken bridge, you’ll square off against several Xenos before you can climb or walk under a platform to the left. When you walk up the ramp, the slate should be in a small room on a table.
Severance
- The first Dataslate should be near a rundown camp past the bridge. You can climb up to the right side and reach a broken-down transport vehicle at the end of the path. The slate should be behind it, which you can find past several Xenos.
- The second Dataslate should be in a dark room full of rats after entering the Adeptus Mechanicus facility. You'll see a few red lights at a distance that you need to walk up to. The slate should be beside them.
- The third one will require more effort before you can collect it. You must interact with a green terminal inside a room full of Xenos and bloody walls. This should open and contain another Xenos inside. There should be a ventilation shaft containing the Dataslate at the
- The last Dataslate should be inside a dark cave after you obtain jetpacks and jump over a cliff. The piece should be on the left side of the cavern.
Demerium
You can find 11 Dataslates here.
Reliquary
- You can find the first Dataslate near the main hall of the Tomb. When you face the sizeable green console, head towards the stairs on the left. After climbing it, head towards the end of the floor, and it should be on the ground to your left.
- You can find the second Dataslate by following the objectives during the Heldrake bombardment of the surface. You’ll eventually reach a tall tower that can shelter you from the fire. Here, you’ll be prompted to the left, but the piece will be outside the balcony on the right.
Fall of Atreus
- The first Dataslate can be found by following the main objectives until you reach the church. Jump down at a loadout drop after using the cranes to clear out the rocks in the area. Go behind the place you dropped from and head towards the end of the room. The Dataslate should be right behind the statue in the center.
- The second Dataslate is in the Manufactorum. Follow the objectives and climb the ramps. When you reach the area with two straight ramps, look for the slate to the left.
Dawn's Descent
- The first slate will be near the cathedral, which you’ll reach as you progress in the operation. After you land on the building and jump from rock to rock, go to the left and look for the slate near the tombstones.
- You can collect the second Dataslate while you head towards the Mechanicus Facility. Once you reach a large graveyard, follow the path to the left and head towards the crypt with a statue. The Dateslate should be attached to the side of the crypt.
- You can find the third Dataslate after destroying the eye alta Head towards the ruins until you reach a set of stairs lit up by a panel of lights. There should also be two pillars on top of it. The slate should be somewhere in the dark on the left.
- You can find the fourth one as you advance towards Aurora. After passing through two blue illuminated pillars, you can see the slate on the right next to the broken-down ship.
Bellum Sempiternus
- The slate can be found in an underground passage. Head towards a doorway marked with a big white X and jump down. Continue through the passageway, then head left. The slate will be on the ground to your right.
- The second Dataslate will be in the burial tomb as you advance towards the Second Force. Before heading to the objectives, head towards the far-left corner of the room and up the stairs. The piece should be somewhere around that area.
- The third Dataslate should be near a crystalized doorway as you approach the Obelisk. Head to the right of it until you reach a pile of rubble. The slate should be around here.
Avarax
You can engage in six missions on Avarax and find 14 Dataslates in this area.
Machinus Divinitus
- The first Dataslate can be found near the extendable bridge further into the mission. You can see the piece on the roof on your left, which you can reach by getting onto the ledge on the left side after you cross the bridge.
- The second Dataslate will be in a hallway you reach as you progress. You'll know you’re in the right place when you spot a shadow of a Xeno that disappears after the light flickers. Head to the right of the hallway and take another right. Afterward, go left until you reach a room full of corpses, and look for a Mechanicus. The slate should be right beside it.
- The third Dataslate can be obtained after the boss fight. You’ll reach a room with a closed hatch, which will open after defeating the surrounding Xenos. Walk straight ahead into the darkness until you stumble onto the Dataslate to your right.
Ballistic Engine
- You can find the first Dataslate here after you pass through the dust storm and the elevator. You’ll eventually find an altar, where you’ll need to then go right. Afterward, take a left until you encounter an engine room to your right. You can find it on the left side after entering the room.
- The second one is found after you jump down to the train tracks area. It’s right next to a tank on your left.
Servant of the Machine
- You can find the first one right behind the elevator.
- The second Dataslate can be found on the right side after entering the Temple of Thassean.
Decapitation
- You can find the first Dataslate within the chapel as you progress through the mission. After climbing the stairs, head to the left and past the archway.
- You’ll find the second piece after following the Hive Tyrant and simply following the objectives. The piece is inside a room with a large fan on the right side of the room, facing the turbine.
Vox Liberatis
- You can find the first Dataslate simply by following the main path from the elevator to the cathedral and heading down the stairs to the right. Once you reach the bottom, head to the left and up another set of stairs. Go left again, and you’ll find the slate in a reddish room in one of the corners.
- The second Dataslate is on the cathedral's lower levels. You’ll need to find a large room accessed via a hallway. Head to the right side of the corridor with a 01 label. You’ll see the piece on a table.
Voidsong
- After the tank breaks into the structure, your next objective is to power up the door. Instead of following the main path, head outside the building to the left. The piece is on the path on the lower levels of the zone.
- You can find the second Dataslate by following the path toward the objectives until you find an area with burning barrels and debris. Head forward and use the jetpack to reach the broken ledge above a weapon crate. The piece should be there.
- After following the main route to your objectives, you can find the third Dataslate in a room full of burning corpses. You can see the slate in one of the corners of the room.
