The first playtest was a closed beta; only those who pre-ordered the game before the date had immediate access. It coincided with sponsored Twitch streams that gave beta testers some drop rewards that did not carry over.
Wardogs Second Beta Playtest
The studio behind this brand-new game decided it would be best to announce the second beta playtest ahead of The FPS Game Show. BULKHEAD, the game's developers, made it clear that the second playtest will still be a closed beta. This means only players who pre-ordered the game, along with a few who registered for the beta test on Steam, will get access to the second playtest.
The servers for the second playtest start at 6 PM UTC / 2 PM EDT / 7 PM BST on September 3, the same time as The FPS Game Show. It will run from Thursday until 8 AM UTC / 4 AM EDT / 9 AM BST on Sunday, September 6.
How to Join Wardogs Beta Playtest
If you pre-ordered the game before September 3, you should be able to preload it. So far, there have been no reports of Steam signups receiving beta test privileges; however, BULKHEAD has said they will roll out invites in waves. But with The FPS Game Show looming around the corner, waiting for a potential trial period is still on the table. The developers said there are a lot of things in store during the show.
