The Division 2 Broken Rain Incursion Walkthrough
Before Getting Started
As a 4-player team, it's heavily recommended to have 3 DPS and 1 Flex throughout the whole incursion. Certain encounters will require either a tank or a healer to complete the mission easily.
First Encounter: Lester (Boss)
Lester is a melee chainsaw-toting boss with tons of armor. He is purely a DPS check and has no special mechanics. However, during the encounter, tons of Elite Snipers will spawn and can easily wreak havoc on your team. While challenging for unorganized teams, the best way to deal with this encounter is to have 1 DPS focus on the spawning snipers. The other 2 DPS and 1 tank need to deal with the boss.
Second Encounter: Warhound Escort
This encounter focuses on escorting a warhound through a long stretch of road. It's not mechanically intensive, though the warhound can be easily destroyed if left undefended. It will only move if 1 or more players are within its vicinity.
The best way to go about this encounter is to have 3 DPS move ahead of the warhound. This will take out hostile entities and other threats the machine may encounter. The group's tank should stay in front of the warhound to soak up as much damage as possible, keeping the warhound healthy.
During the encounter, you will face the same turrets from the Paradise Lost Incursion. These require you to shoot 4 weakspots around it to disable it. Use Decoys to distract it or access the elevated position from the left side of the road before the turret to destroy 2 weakspots easily.
Finally, this encounter requires you to interact with 3 buttons in the correct sequence. The first button is on the left, inside a building. The second button is across the bridge inside a building in the lower section and requires you to vault into the room. Finally, the third button is on the other side of the bridge, on a green crane.
Third Encounter: Dwayne Steel IV (Boss)
Another DPS check boss, like the previous one; it's best to have 3 DPS and 1 tank. The boss arena will have rocket turrets scattered throughout. Destroying the boss’s rear weakspot will disable them.
The best way to deal with this encounter is to stay behind the white truck near the entrance and have the tank draw the boss’s aggro and expose the rear. The rest of the team can just damage the boss.
Fourth Encounter: Iris Steel (Boss)
Players who are accustomed to raids should feel right at home here. While not the most difficult nor mechanically intensive, this encounter will be significantly easier with comms or prior knowledge. This encounter requires 3 DPS and 1 healer.
The encounter starts with several buttons and valves to interact with in no particular order. Remember the locations of these valves, as you will need to interact with them throughout theencounter. On the left side of the arena will be the control room and several screens. Each time a screen turns red, the healer must interact with the control room panel and valve. Turbine 1 and 2 valves are on the left side of the arena in front of the control room, while Turbine 3 and 4 are on the right side.
After some time, the boss will spawn and will initially be immune to damage. This requires at least 1 person on the team to have an EMP skill equipped; grenades work too. Whenever the boss walks near a turbine, the person with an EMP should use it on the boss to disable the invulnerability. Iris herself is not difficult and can easily be tanked with a competent healer. The other 2 DPS can coordinate with the healer on the valves, or remove other hostiles that keep spawning.
Final Encounter: Marguerite (Boss)
This encounter is extremely lengthy and requires 3 DPS and 1 healer. The start of the encounter requires 1 person to run from the first control room at spawn to the second, at the far end of the arena, 3 times. Each time, you will have limited time to reach the other; avoid the elevated side on the left, as you will be constantly staggered and CC’d while running. Once this is complete, the boss will spawn.
When the boss spawns, the mechanics change radically. A pressure tracker will appear on your HUD, and it's best to keep it at 0%. You will have to press whichever button lights up green; the panels for these 3 buttons are located around the center of the arena. 1 person should be dedicated to this task.
While 1 person is assigned to dealing with the pressure, the other 3 need to focus on shooting the boss’s weakspots, specifically the head and backpack. Each time both weakspots are broken, a miniboss will spawn. The 3 players need to eliminate the miniboss and bring the key item to the specified crate. Do this 3 times; the boss can be damaged and defeated.
