Runescape 3 (RS3) has rung in the new year with its 25th Anniversary Event, featuring the permanent removal of the Treasure Hunter shop mechanic. Players and Jagex are transitioning to a gameplay-first approach starting in January. Removing the Treasure Hunter mechanic allows players who missed the event to earn rewards through gameplay. To claim the free 25th Anniversary scarf and cake, players must simply talk to him and choose dialogue options 4 and 5.
Inverted Skill Capes and Inverted Tokens
- Talk to Hans to set your Focus.
- Skill must be level 99 or 120
- Wear the Standard version of the chosen skill
- Collect Skill Shards
- Shards drop randomly; however drop rate scales with experience gain
- Level 99 Skills: 990 Shards
- Level 120 Skills: 1200 Shards
- Exchange Shards for Tokens by talking to Hans
- Take Inverted Tokens to the Skill Master (i.e., Vannaka for Slayer) to unlock the Inverted Skill Cape
Important Reminders
- Don't switch Focus too early, focus on one and get the cape
- 4 Cape Limit, which will reset next January
- The event ends January 31
