In Runescape: Dragonwilds, gems such as Jade, Red Topaz, Opal, and Sapphire are found in specific ore nodes and drop randomly, meaning you must get lucky while mining regular ores. Each ore type is tied to a gem, and these ores are found in parts of the world map so you can target farm them. Here’s where you can find every gem in the game.
Requires Skills and Tools
To start farming for gems, your Mining skill must be at level 16 as this will unlock the Gem Prospecting perk. You'll also need a bone pickaxe or better to mine, as the stone pickaxe won’t work for extracting ore. Ideally, the Iron Pickaxe is your best option as it makes mining faster and will work for all ore types.
As mentioned earlier, getting a gem from mining is completely random, but every level in Mining will increase your mining critical chance which grants better yields.
