How to get Accessories in Palworld 1.0

Ancient Remnants

The 1.0 update added a bunch of new structures called Ancient Remnants across the islands of Palpagos. These are structures that have a beam of light emanating from the top. These structures contain a center console with loot, often including a blueprint for an accessory. However, players must first solve a simple puzzle to obtain the loot inside. These puzzles range from simple hacking minigames to defeating a ‘guardian' pal.

Dungeon Chests

Dungeon Chests have always been a reliable source of accessories and accessory blueprints. Rarer accessories require the player to delve into higher-level dungeons.

Alpha Boss and Lucky Pals

Field bosses and Lucky pals are a great source of loot, blueprints, and occasionally accessories. You can spot Alpha pals by their massive Pal and Health bars, and during the encounter, you can either catch or kill them. Lucky pals are much rarer, but they also stand out thanks to their glistening appearance and distinct audio cue.

Field Chests

Field chests are the chests you find while exploring. The ones glowing red are locked ones and often contain significantly better loot. Make sure to bring handfuls of keys or craft the lockpick upgrade.

Best Accessories to Use in Palworld 1.0

With tons of accessories to choose from, finding the right one to use can be difficult. The diversity of challenges and biomes found in Palpagos and its surrounding islands is numerous. However, based on gameplay, these are the 4 accessories I have found to be extremely convenient and useful in almost all situations.

Multiclimate Undershirt

This undershirt is one of the best accessories in Palworld regardless of game stage. It allows you to comfortably journey in any biome. Desert heat is no longer a problem, nor is cold. Because of this, you are free to use whichever armor variant you want, whether it's the base version, the lightweight version, or even a temperature-resistant one.

Pal Tamer Glasses

By combining the Ring of Mercy and Ability Glasses, you have yourself the all-in-one tool for catching pals. You won't accidentally kill the pal you are trying to capture, and as a bonus, you can see its IVs before deciding whether to spend a sphere on it.

Ring of Trust or Growth Acceleration Bell

This choice can go either way, depending entirely on your goal. The stats gained from increasing your Trust with your pals cannot be understated. Using the ring for general playthroughs is great because it significantly increases the speed at which trust is gained. The bell is also great for training a new team of Pals. Using the bell in the later stages of the game is a godsend, since leveling up can be extremely slow.

Any Mobility Boots

There are many mobility boots available to players in the game, including Air Walkers, Triple Jump, and Dash boots. These are unlocked intermittently through the game, and once one is unlocked, it's best to start using it. Use whichever you have access to, and it makes exploring a breeze.

How to get more Accessory Slots in Palworld 1.0

At the start, players will only have access to 2 accessory slots. Players will need to farm Dog Coins to purchase the upgrades. These upgrades are purchased from the Medal Merchant. The first upgrade costs 50 Dog Coins, while the second upgrade costs 300 Dog Coins. There are many Medal Merchants throughout the game, but the first one most players will likely encounter is at the Sea Breeze Archipelago Church (-72,-550). Prior to the 1.0 update, these prices were 100 Dog Coins and 1000 Dog Coins.
