Short on Dinari in Mafia: The Old Country? Worry no more! There's an exploit in Chapter 3 and later Chapter 7, where you'll find lockboxes up for grabs. Lockbox Exploit in Chapter 3
You can start farming for Dinari in Chapter 3 during the Pizzu mission. When you enter the bandit camp, kill all enemies, then loot the lockboxes. There are 4 of them in total: one in the shack on the right side of the camp, two inside the main building, and the last behind the building.
After looting every lockbox, go to the Options menu and select Restart Checkpoint. This resets all the lockboxes you just looted, but lets you keep the money. This can be done multiple times.
Chapter 7 Exploit
Then, later on, during Chapter 7, Spirito Sportivo, you'll come across a garage near the docks. This place has two lockboxes close to each other that you can open for more Dinari. After looting, restart the checkpoint and loot them again. If you have the Fortunato rosary bead, this will add even more Dinari to your wallet.
Knife and Rosary Loadout for Bonus Rewards
You can equip three specific items to make your farming run much more lucrative than before: The knife Imperituri, the Collettore rosary bead, and the Fortunato charm. The knife and Fortunato will increase the amount of Dinari you gain when opening a lockbox, while the Colletore speeds up your looting animation so you can restart the checkpoint.
The Imperituri knife can be bought in any weapons locker for 500 Dinari. As for the Fortunato, you can obtain this in Chapter 2 on the wooden steps in front of Don Torrisi's tent. The Collettore bead is found on Chapter 8, on a wooden crate during the Find L’Ombra mission.
