Dispatch is an episodic game wherein most of your actions dictate the flow of the story and the fate of your characters. Most of your gameplay involves quick-time events and picking crossroads to alter the game's progression. However, Dispatch stats play a huge role in what options you can choose, but it’s unclear how exactly they work.
All Dispatch Stats and How They Affect Choices
There are five stats in Dispatch, and each hero will have different combinations for them. Many scenarios will heavily rely on these attributes, and these stats will determine the success rate of these options. If you want to make sure that your heroes will complete most of their actions, you should take note of the following:
- Combat: Combat increases the chance of a hero succeeding in combat actions or choices.
- Intellect: Heroes with the highest Intellect are the best ones to send for problem-solving or logic-related scenarios.
- Vigor: This stat decides how much damage a hero can take (typically in Combat scenarios). However, instead of affecting how well a character can fight, it boosts the ability of a hero to sustain damage, especially from environmental impacts.
- Charisma: This stat is similar to Intellect, as it’s used to complete problem-solving situations successfully. However, instead of logic-based fixes, it emphasizes scenarios involving de-escalation, persuasion, and crowd control. It’s generally the best stat for social situations.
- Mobility: When you want to succeed in actions that involve you quickly reacting to something or getting from Point A to Point B in the fastest time, send your hero with the highest mobility.
The key to these stats is to send the hero to a scenario with the highest-related stats. If it’s fighting, send in a Combat hero. If it’s logic-based, send in Intellect heroes. If you think someone is going to get hurt, dispatch your Vigor character. If the scenario calls for persuasion and smooth talking, send the most Charismatic hero. If you need someone to respond to something right away, go with your highest Mobility character.
