    What are Chimeras in Dying Light: The Beast

    Chimeras are the final bosses you encounter at the end of the main story quests. Each one has unique abilities, and when defeated by Kyle, can earn Beast Points. These Beast Points can be used to unlock new Beast Powers. 

    At the start of the game, you'll have a hard time using the Beast Powers and Beast Mode. As you continue to defeat more Chimeras, Kyle's powers will evolve, and the Beast powers won't be a problem.

    The Reaper

    Safe Haven
    • Dodge when Reapers sprints towards you, then attacks.
    • Deal damage to Reaper when his back is turned and stunned for his missed attack.

    The Defect

    Life After Life
    • When Defect does his slam attack, dodge by moving backward.
    • Attack straight away after every dodge of his attacks.
    • Use melee weapons when facing Defect.
    • Use the gas canisters in the boss area to stun Defect.

    The Mist

    First Blood
    • The boss area is misty, focus and pay attention to your surroundings.
    • Most of Mist’s attacks are from above, so keep an eye out.
    • Maintain your distance and use mid to long-range attacks.
    • When she performs her leap attack, dodge it. Take advantage of her pause in between leaps to attack.

    The Behemoth

    A New Strain
    • Dodge Behemoth’s rushes.
    • Avoid being stunned by his ground slam attack.
    • Use the cars in the boss area to avoid the rocks being thrown.
    • Use mid-range and melee weapons.
    • When Behemoth calls the infected to assist him, use a pistol or SMG to quickly kill them.

    The Toxin

    • Learn the timing when Toxin shoots his Toxic Goop.
    • Use mid-range and throwable weapons to maintain a distance from Toxin.
    • Move around the boss area to avoid the Toxin’s attacks.

    • Move around the area to avoid the infected. Kill them quickly, since Matriarch will spawn more.
    • Listen to the sound of creepy crying to locate her.
    • Deal damage before she performs her lashing attack.
    • Dodge when she rushes at you.
    • Maintain a distance and use mid-range and throwable weapons.

    The Wraith

    One Flew Over the Volatile's Nest
    • Listen for Wraith’s chattering to locate him.
    • Maintain a distance when he uses his acid spit attack.
    • Use blunt melee weapons and hit him even when he’s invisible.

    The Colossus

    Buried Truths
    • Use the pillars in the area to avoid attacks, heal, and reload.
    • Use mid-range weapons for quick attacks.
    • Use melee weapons after dodging attacks.
    • Attack Colossus from behind by running around a pillar.
    • Use toxic barrels to lure him, so he can explode them and get damaged.
