The Like a Boss side task is one of the unique challenges that was added in Gray Zone Warfare's 0.4 update. Unlike the usual missions where you retrieve an item, this task requires you to defeat an elite boss, solve a code, and extract a high-tier item. How to Locate and Defeat Grin in Gray Zone Warfare
To start the task, locate Grin. He is a high-tier NPC who no longer sticks to a single spawn. In the 0.4 Update, he can be found in three primary locations within the Blue Lagoon and surrounding regions:
- Blue Lagoon Resort: He’s patrolling the main beach club or the nearby villas.
- Kahok Car Repair: He’s located north of Spielberk (186 159).
- Kapu Boat Rental: He’s on a small island in the Southeast.
Once you've found Grin, you need to defeat him to progress the side task. Grin wears a Level 3+ Armor and is accompanied by 4 bodyguards. Here's what you need to do to defeat him and successfully progress the task.
- Use High-Penetration Ammo: Use 5.56x45mm A1/M995 or 7.62x39mm BP to punch through his Level 3+ armor quickly.
- The Lure Method: Fire a few shots to draw the bodyguards toward a chokepoint and pick them off as they push.
- Look for the Sidearm: Once Grin is down, you must manually check his holster. The 1911 C is his secondary weapon. Players often loot his primary and forget the pistol, which is required for the side task.
How to Solve the Coordinate Code in Gray Zone Warfare
Once you've defeated Grin, Vulture will message you with a second objective in the side task. You must find two sticky notes containing code fragments. Here's where to find the notes in the game.

As mentioned, the notes will give you three sets of coordinates, but only one will give you the location of the briefcase. The briefcase is located at the Blue Lagoon's Small Island (209 122). Here's how to find the briefcase and complete the side task.
- Enter the main building on the island. Go into the kitchen.
- Go to the kitchen area. The briefcase is hidden under the stove.
- You must carry this briefcase to any Combat Outpost (COP) and hand it over to Vulture to complete the task.
