Gray Zone Warfare has a suite of guns for you to choose from, from the AR-15 platform weapons to the AK pattern weapons, as well as other DMRs, snipers, and SMGs. Some weapons in the Spearhead update have been updated with new stats, with some having risen to the top spot, while others have lost their dominance. This tier list will show you which guns have risen to the top meta of Gray Zone Warfare.
S-Tier
M14A1
This gun has risen to the top spot for the best DMR in the game, as it is extremely accurate at long ranges and has a great muzzle velocity, in part due to being chambered in 7.62 ammo. It can also be customized with modern parts to accommodate attachments such as silencers and variable scopes, making it the perfect weapon for stalking the jungles of Lamang.
DDM4
The DDM4 is currently a powerful medium-to-close-range option and far surpasses the standard M4A1 in performance. This gun can be kitted out with great attachments for both ergonomics and recoil control, giving it the same versatility and power as the pre-nerf M4A1.
AK-308
Using the AK-12 platform, the AK-308 offers access to much longer ranges with 7.62 NATO ammo, giving it better accuracy for sniping. With the right configurations, the AK-308 can be converted into a marksman rifle suitable for long sightlines in most areas.
SVD
With the ballistic performance of a sniper rifle and the versatility of a marksman rifle, the SVD continues to be the king of sniper rifles, even compared to the Mosin-Nagant and M700. Its magazine capacity and fire rate make it an easy weapon for sniping. With the SVD, you can clear out outposts from afar without risking detection.
MP7A1 / MP7A2
These SMGs serve as a great close-quarters weapon option, as they have access to powerful yet readily available ammo types, including AP and Subsonic rounds. Not only that, they have an easily controllable vertical recoil that can even headshot enemies with a full-auto burst.
Glock 17
In close quarters, the Glock 17 can function as a pseudo-SMG with its 17-round magazines and tons of rails for attachments. For a backup weapon, the Glock 19 is very reliable and easy to control.
