Where is the Hakone Nanamagari Touge race in Forza Horizon 6

With the highly anticipated launch of Forza Horizon 6, players are finally getting to tear through the beautiful, varied landscapes of Japan. One of the absolute hotspots for drifters and technical drivers right now is the Hakone Nanamagari Touge.

If you are working on your Series 1 Summer Festival Playlist, you’ll know that the final step of the Gazoo Racer Weekly Challenge requires you to win a Touge Battle right here using the 2022 Toyota GR86.

However, if you haven't fully cleared the map, this iconic winding road might be hidden. If you’re wondering where it is or how to get the event to show up, here is exactly what you need to do.

Where is the Hakone Nanamagari Touge?

To find the pass, open your world map and look toward the southwest region (specifically the Nangan area, southwest of Tokyo City).

  • The Main Landmark: Look for the massive Irokawa Space Centre near the bottom-left of the map.

  • The Road Layout: Just a bit north of the space center, you will see a dense cluster of incredibly windy, snake-like roads. That is the Hakone Nanamagari Touge.

How to Unlock the Race Event

If you are looking at the correct spot and the race icon isn't appearing, or the area is covered in dark green, it means you haven't discovered the road yet. The community has found a quick fix to get it to pop up:

  1. Progress Your Stamps: Make sure you have progressed enough in your Discover Japan Stamps (you generally need to hit the Blue / Traveller Stamp level) and earned enough wristbands to freely explore the region.

  2. Drive Over There: You don't need a waypoint to unlock it. Simply grab your car and physically drive down to those southwest grey roads near the space center.

  3. Discover the Road: As soon as you hit the location and drive on the greyed-out asphalt, the map will update, the road will clear, and the Hakone Nanamagari Touge race event will instantly unlock on your map.

📌Note: If you arrive at the race in your 2022 Toyota GR86 and the game won't let you select it, double-check your tune. A common bug carries over where if your car's PI performance rating is even a single point over the class limit, it will hide the vehicle at the start menu. Re-apply a compliant B-Class tune and you'll be good to go!
