Fortnite has multiple game modes that allow players to go at it solo or with up to four people. However, some gamers want to play alone without anyone bothering them. Some players don’t want to be disturbed during their alone time, so they want to appear offline, even from friends. Unfortunately, Epic Games still hasn’t added this much-needed feature.
Can You Appear Offline on Fortnite
Unfortunately, you can't set your status to offline in Fortnite because Epic Games hasn’t made this feature available yet. The only two statuses currently available are Online and Away. It’s unclear if devs will add an offline feature for players, but it’s not likely to happen since there hasn’t been an announcement related to this for a while.
What Else Can You Do to Appear Offline
While you can't appear completely offline, you can set your status to 'Away' instead. However, others can still see that you're in-game or playing a game mode, but it does imply that you might not be open to game invites. To also deter invites, change Party Joinability to Invite Only. This feature is the closest we have to setting your Fortnite profile offline.
