In Enshrouded, players must gather materials and build the necessary tools and stations to survive. One of the items needed for your expansion in the world is Masonry Tools. This toolkit is used by the Carpenter, who will give you a quest to find them. If you’re having trouble locating them, here's a step-by-step guide on how to get the Masonry Tools in Enshrouded.
Head to The Pillars of Creation
The Pillars of Creation is located northeast of the initial area you started in. To begin the quest, fast travel to Revelwoods. Then, glide southeast and go through the forest. You'll stumble upon a road leading to Thornhold. Following this path, you’ll eventually encounter the Glimmer Rock Mine. You'll find the Gate to the Pillars of Creation opposite the mine.
Look for The Research Camp
Once you enter the Gate of the Pillars of Creation, you'll need to head through an Enshrouded area before entering the dungeon properly. You'll then pass a Return Beacon before reaching the Inner Sanctum. Take the stairs on the right to reach the other side. About halfway up, you should spot some tents, where you’ll find a lore book titled New Theories. Read the book and keep going up the rest of the way. Once you reach the other side of the Sanctum, you'll need to be careful because there'll be shock traps. Try to dodge them as you continue on your way. From there, you'll reach the top of the path leading to the next area.
After entering the antechamber, you'll encounter a hallway that has a trap rolling a row of three lava rocks across the room. To make it to the other end of the room, get behind the middle lava rock and follow it. You'll see a door on the right when you reach the end of the hallway where a chest is located. The next room is on the left side of the hallway.
The next room has a walkway with protruding spikes. Walk on the path when the spikes are down; the trap pattern is easy to follow. Once you've passed through the walkway, a door will lead to a ruined corridor on your left. You'll find a grate against the wall; climb it to reach the door on the other side. Open it to proceed to the next room.
The following room has two doors, one with a treasure chest, and the other leading to the next area. Head to the door that leads to the new area. There'll be another spike trap when you enter it. After making your way past the trap, head to the stairs that leads to a locked door. You need to look to the right of the door, where you'll find a bar on the ceiling that you’ll need to use your Grappling Hook on.
The next area will lead you to a hall overlooking the walkway with the spikes. You'll find a button on the opposite side of the wall that you'll need to shoot with an arrow. There's a room next to the hall where you must shoot another button. After shooting the buttons, return to the path you grappled from and head left, where a door will be opened. The door will lead you to the next floor and an Ancient Obelisk.
There will be an uphill path next to the obelisk; follow the path. The path leads to the Research Camp. The Masonry Tools will be highlighted with a golden aura, so it's not hard to spot. You can explore the camp to find other items to take.
Give the Masonry Tools to the Carpenter
After you retrieve the Masonry Tools, head back to your camp and place the Masonry Tools in the Carpenter's area so that he can begin making more crafting stations.
