ARC Raiders' Flashpoint update introduces the Vaporizer, a new lethal aerial ARC that drops the highly sought-after Vaporizer Regulator. It's a material required to craft the Legendary Dolabra Shotgun or to finish the High-Gain Antenna project.
Where to Find Vaporizers in ARC Raiders’ Flashpoint Update
To get Vaporizer Regulators, you first need to find the Vaporizers. They won’t spawn in standard Raids. They’re exclusive to the new Close Scrutiny Map condition. Here’s what you need to do to find them in ARC Raiders’ Flashpoint Update.
- Check your world map for the Close Scrutiny icon. It’s available on Dam Battlegrounds, Buried City, Spaceport, and Blue Gate.
- Once in a match, look for the Assessor Probes falling from the sky. These are marked by three red laser beams shooting into the atmosphere.
- Vaporizers are the primary protectors of these probes. You will usually find two or more circling every Assessor landing site.
How to Kill a Vaporizer in ARC Raiders’ Flashpoint Update
Vaporizers are far more dangerous than Rocketeers. They use a continuous thermal laser that can melt your shields. To help you defeat them, here’s a strategy guide on Vaporizers in ARC Raiders.
- Aim for the 8 thrusters, two located at each of the four corners. Destroying these will ground the machine and make it vulnerable.
- Vaporizers can deploy a front-facing energy shield to intercept throwables such as Seeker Grenades or Wolfpacks. Wait for the shield to drop before using your gadgets.
- Use the Hullcracker or Equalizer to damage the Vaporizers’ high armor. Also, bring Surge Coils to zone out the Shredders that often roam the ground while you're looking up at the Vaporizer.
- Don’t fight a Vaporizer in the open. Their laser tracks perfectly; you need to have a solid wall or building to duck behind when they charge their beam.
Where to Use Vaporizer Regulators in the ARC Raiders’ Flashpoint Update
Once you’ve taken down the Vaporizers, they’ll drop Vaporizer Regulators. There’s a very small chance to find Regulators in ARC Couriers or Raider Cashes, but hunting Vaporizers is your best option.
