Aniimo is now fully released, and with it comes an important decision: Which Aniimo starter should I choose? Players can choose between 2 extremely adorable Aniimos: Helion and Lunara. Once you choose one, the other is no longer available, so making the right decision is essential to your Aniimo experience. Here is everything you need to know about Helion and Lunara and which one you should choose.
Helion or Lunara: Aniimo Starter Guide
Why choose Helion?
Helion is a melee-focused Aniimo who specializes in massive burst damage. In combat, using the Twining system is almost necessary to get the most out of Helion. As a result, dodging becomes essential when Twined with Helion.
All Helion Skills and Abilities
| Skill/Ability | Description |
|---|---|
| Passive: Solar Grace | When not attacking with an advantageous element, final damage increases by 30%. Every 4 basic attacks grant Solar Halo, enhancing the next skill. |
| S1: Light Bombardment | Leaps to a certain area and deals damage. 30% more damage while Helion has Ring of the Golden Sun. |
| S2: Holy Roar |
Roars and increases on-hit attacks by 6% and stacks up to 3 times for 20 seconds. While the passive is active, each hit immediately grants 3 stacks. |
| S3: Holy Storm | AoE CC and Pull bundled into one ability. Grants massive BREAK damage depending on Aniimo's level. |
| S4: Sun Kissed | Restore 20 EP and 5 extra EP when passive is active. |
| Ultimate: Helios' Judgment | Deal massive damage, gain a 15% damage amp, and evolve into Soleon until combat ends. Also gain the Ring of the Golden Sun. |
Why choose Lunara?
Lunara is a ranged-focused Aniimo who excels at consistent DPS. Unlike Helion, Lunara is still effective without the Twining system thanks to her ranged attacks. In turn, Lunara is a very forgiving Aniimo since she won't be in constant danger. She still benefits greatly from the Twining system, but much less than Helion.

Homeland, Element, and Story Effects
The Homeland System is a core component of the game. It serves as your base or safe space where your Aniimos can play, help you grow, or craft items. In this regard, Helion and Lunara are the same. Both have the Hauling and Light abilities. Hauling allows the Aniimo to transport items in the Homeland. Light, on the other hand, illuminates the Homeland.
Aside from combat, Helion and Lunara don't differ much. Both are Light-type and have equal stats. The story stays the same regardless of who you pick.
Which one should you pick?
Helion
Choose Helion if you enjoy melee combat and like seeing big damage numbers appear on enemies when you unleash a combo. Great for fast-paced combat, and his evolution, Soleon, looks amazing.
Lunara
Choose Lunara if you prefer ranged combat and are new to the game. She is much more forgiving and offers a much more casual experience. If you don't want to worry about rotations and just want consistent damage, Lunara is for you. Just like Soleon, Lunara's evolution, Fennelun, looks equally amazing.
