Fallout 76: Best locations to farm resources

In Fallout 76, gear crafting and base building are part of the core gameplay that fuels your adventures in the Appalachian Wasteland. To build your camp, you will need to gather junk and scrap them into raw resources. Some of the best items and buildings in the game require an extensive list of resources to craft, and since there are over 20 resource types in the game, it can be difficult to stock up on raw materials. This guide will help you find the best locations to farm for a specific resource that you need.

Farming Tips

• Before looking for junk items, be sure to put on the Pack Rat perk to reduce the weight of all junk items by 75%, letting you carry more junk for higher material yield.

• Bring Buffouts or any Strength-enhancing chems if you stumble upon a Legendary item during your scavenging runs, as you are likely to come across a Legendary enemy during your travels.

• If you have scrap kits in your inventory, only use them when the entire area you’re scavenging has been picked clean of junk, as all components scrapped by the kit will be automatically sent to your stash or scrapbox for Fallout 1st members.

• Some points of interest can have processors that can generate specific resources but have PvP always enabled. If another player has claimed the area, leave the server and return until your desired location is unclaimed.

Acid

The creatures that always drop Acid are Yao Guai, snallygasters, cave crickets, wendigos, floater gnashers, Grafton monsters, and acidic gulpers.

Head to Hemlock Holes Maintenance for passive resource generation and claim the workshop there. You can build 3 acid extractors that can generate 30 acid every 30 minutes.
