Of the 9 available classes in WoW: Forever, Hunters, Mages, Druids, and Warlocks are the best for solo leveling, with plenty of utility spells and skills that help you reach max level without relying much on group content. This guide ranks each class by solo power and explains why.
WoW: Forever Solo Class Tier List
WoW: Forever has a fair balance between all classes in the endgame, but certain classes have early power spikes that help with questing and killing higher-level mobs without investing too much in gear.
S-Tier: Best Solo Leveling Class
Hunter
Hunter Pet stats scale well with your gear and attributes, giving you a pseudo-duo player that won't break the flow of your questing experience.
A-Tier: Excellent Solo Leveling Classes
Mage
Mages have lots of AoE damage spells they can cast while kiting enemies, which helps you gain extra XP while traveling between quest NPCs. Mages also have great utility spells, but the class requires constant kiting to survive pulls.
Druid
This class can unlock some core damage skills early on, like Ferocious Bite, making it easier to kill world mobs. They can also use their transformations to traverse the map quicker, but the class complexity requires getting used to before coming online.
Warlock
While squishy, Warlocks have access to aggro-removal spells, plus summons with more threat generation and DoT spells to kite with. However, you will need to specialize in either Demonology or Affliction to make the best use of their leveling power.
B-Tier: Decent Solo Leveling Classes
Warrior
Warriors tend to have a very weak leveling experience early on, as they rely heavily on gear to scale through the leveling journey. However, they can become extremely powerful at the endgame with far better scaling that lets them deal insane damage, but this is only possible once you reach level 50+.
Rogue
Rogues remain the most powerful PvP class in the game, but leveling early can be a slog if you use stealth to get combat XP. Their CC abilities are decent in PvE, but their true power lies in world PvP and Battlegrounds.
Paladin
Aside from Retribution Paladin, the other specs are quite slow to level since they're more group-oriented, with dedicated damage mitigation and group healing. They have great self-sustain, but it takes a while for them to kill enemy mobs.
C-Tier: Challenging Solo Leveling Classes
Priest
The Priest class is a squishy caster without the means to damage mobs fast enough. They are a high-value healer for any party, but soloing with a Priest can be slow unless you have a duo to level with. Shadow Priests can deal decent damage, but the class's lack of mobility hurts its solo viability.
Shaman
Shamans are good generalists that can flex in any party role as either a tank, support, or even DPS, but they're also extremely mana-dependent early into leveling. They are best played with a duo, but Shamans lack any solo effectiveness until you unlock mana regen talents.
