I would like to share an important update regarding the purchase of OSRS accounts due to recent issues with Jagex account security and recovery.

🔹 1. Legacy Accounts and the November 17, 2026 Deadline

According to the recent announcement regarding the transition to Jagex Accounts, Legacy accounts will need to be upgraded starting November 17, 2026.

Until then, Legacy accounts can continue to be used through supported clients such as RuneLite.

🔹 2. Important Warning About Immediate Jagex Account Upgrades

Recently, account recovery has become a serious concern when an account's login location or country changes shortly after purchase.

If a Legacy account gets locked after a location change, resetting the password may sometimes be enough to regain access.

However, if the account has already been upgraded to a Jagex Account, the recovery process can be considerably more complicated. Jagex may request additional verification, and even when recovery information is available, successful recovery is not guaranteed.

This creates a risk of losing access to the account, which I want every buyer to understand before making a purchase.

🔹 3. My Recommendation for Buyers

If you purchase an account from my store, I recommend not upgrading it to a Jagex Account immediately after changing your login location.

Instead, please contact me first so I can help you with the email-change process and assist you in setting up your own email address.

If you prefer to upgrade your account immediately and cannot wait, I recommend carefully considering these risks before purchasing.

Alternatively, you can purchase a Legacy account and wait until November 17, 2026, before proceeding with the upgrade, provided the account remains eligible for the transition.

Please remember that waiting does not guarantee that an account will never be locked or that recovery will always be successful.
