The Veilwater Basin location is hidden in a cave entrance near one of the lakes added in the Wake of the Water update in Enshrouded. Since a hole in the ground marks the passageway, this guide will direct you to the entrance and into the brand new Veilwater Basin biome. This biome contains new crafting recipes and structures, such as the Water Mill, as well as powerful gear exclusive to underwater areas.
Saving Captain Melville
To make finding the new biome easier, you need to rescue the new Survivor, Captain Melville Fontane. You can find his corpse in Dragondream Lake, sitting on a chair underneath an umbrella. With his soul, return to your base and revive, which will start a questline that will mark the location of the Veilwater Basin. He'll also serve as your fishing vendor for bait and rods.
Directions to Veilwater Basin
The closest Ancient Spire to start is at the Albaneve Summits Ancient Spire. Look southwest of the lake as the entrance is there. With your best glider equipped, jump down and fly towards the massive castle at the mountainside. Once you’re inside the castle, take the path leading into the mountain, which will lead you to the Passageway.
📌Note: The cave itself is covered in the Shroud, so bring some decent Shroud-resistant gear and consumables.
