Destiny: Rising requires players to reach a certain Power level to take less damage while dealing more damage in endgame activities. To get more Power, players will need weapons, relics, and artifacts with high Power values. The grind for reaching Gauntlet Ops can be lengthy, but players can always buy a powerleveling service from others to reach the maximum Power cap and start farming for godroll guns.

How Does Power Work?

While players can obtain Power by leveling their selected Guardian, that won’t be enough to reach the Power cap. One major source of Power comes from their gear, relics, and artifacts. Each of these is leveled separately and requires completing mid-game activities like Strikes to earn gear with higher Power. These are called Pinnacle rewards and can only be claimed while a player has Pinnacle Energy, which recharges daily.

If a player were to complete an activity without Pinnacle Energy, they would only get basic rewards that match their current Power level. For weapons with low power but that have god-rolled perks or a strong Exotic trait, players will need to use Enhancement Prisms. These items allow a player to transfer Power from a Pinnacle item into their favorite guns.

How To Get More Power

Every activity in Destiny: Rising has a Power requirement. As players start doing more difficult activities, the Power level requirement increases. One of the most rewarding activities, Gauntlet Ops, has the highest barrier to entry, needing at least 55k Power to survive any encounter on Normal difficulty.

Tackling an activity with low Power causes enemies to be extremely resistant to damage while dealing extremely high damage to low Power players.

Weapon Power

In the early game, most of a player’s Power level will come from their weapons. These make up the bulk of their leveling. While Legendary and Mythic weapons can be leveled with Enhancement Prisms, Exotics require Exotic Weapon Infusion Cores, which are one of the Pinnacle rewards in some activities. Upgrading an Exotic Weapon will also unlock Catalysts, which are unique perks for the weapon.

Weapon Power is the hardest to level up, but it is also the most rewarding, with more god-rolled perk combos and Exotic Catalysts providing the best bonuses in combat.

Relic Power

Relics are another means of gaining character-specific bonuses. These also provide a flat Power value, which can be increased by using Incandescence Tufts and Ribbons. They can be obtained from the Shifting Gates shop, Pack Shop Exchange, Fortuna Dust Shop, and by completing Legacy Runs.

Upgrading a Guardian’s Relic not only increases their Power level, but it also upgrades certain parts of their skill set.

Artifact Power

Artifacts are unique passive items that augment a Guardian’s abilities and come with set effects. These can only be obtained in the Singularity: Order activity and can come with Mythic to Exotic-quality bonuses. Each Artifact comes with a set bonus that boosts Power levels upon reaching it. These sets are:

• Status
• Survival
• Overshield
• Healing
• Rapid-Fire
• Move
• Abilities
• Summon

Artifacts can be target-farmed and can contribute to a player’s Power level.
