Borderlands 4 offers a variety of activities, including completing raids and discovering vaults. Players have various content to complete that can keep them busy for hours. Aside from achievements and trophies, players can also complete challenges. Some may confuse the two, but in this guide, you'll find everything you need to know about Borderlands 4 Challenges and their rewards.
What are Challenges in Borderlands 4
Challenges are missions that players can complete to earn rewards. The Challenges range from killing enemies with a specific weapon to defeating a particular boss. It's best to complete the challenges as you play the game since you'll be exploring Kairos regularly.
Each Vault Hunter in your account will have their own progress for the challenges. Any progress or completion of a challenge will only be tracked for a specific Vault Hunter. So, if you want to complete them all, you'll have to do it 4 times.
Rewards from Challenges in Borderlands 4
Completing Challenges will reward players with XP, Cash, and Eridium. It's best to complete the challenges while in the early stages of the game, as they are a great source of Eridium. The rarity and the amount of the reward will be indicated in the Challenges.
Some Challenges will have multiple rewards; they'll be indicated with a diamond next to the Challenge name. Expect the Challenges with multiple rewards to be difficult to complete.
Aside from the rewards mentioned, you can also earn skins for your Vault Hunter. Once you have received the rewards, you can equip them through the Customization Menu.
Ultimate Vault Hunter Challenges in Borderlands 4
When you reach Ultimate Vault Hunter, which is the endgame stage of Borderlands 4, a new set of challenges will be unlocked. Completing them will unlock the Wildcard Missions, which are necessary to rank up as an Ultimate Vault.
