Arknights: Endfield isn't just about exploring the colony and fighting with your Operators, but also base management, as you are in charge of assembling a factory. The AIC is a factory system that gathers raw materials, processes them into items, and stores them automatically. To make things easier for you, this guide shows you how to automate your factory so you don't have to worry about managing it.
How The AIC Works
The PAC (Protocol Anchor Core) is the core component of your factory and is required to set a factory up. Once you place a PAC down, you now gain access to these types of buildings:
- Mining rigs
- Processing facilities
- Power generation buildings
- Conveyor belts
- Defensive towers
Once a production line is connected correctly, it can run automatically. Once items are finished, they are automatically sent back to storage and can be used for crafting, upgrades, or outpost orders.
Making A Basic Factory
For every building to work automatically, you must set up a power grid to distribute electricity. To create an automatic production line, you will need to do the following to create a basic factory:
- Place an Electric Pylon near a Mining Rig to begin gathering raw ore.
- Build a Conveyor Belt coming out from the Rig to transport the materials.
- Next, build a Processing Building at the end of the first Conveyor Belt so the ore goes directly into it.
- Lastly, build one last Conveyor Belt and place a Depot at the end to store the final product.
📌Tip: Creating a simple factory is more important than making it look flashy or optimized, since the items your factory produces are important for progression.
Using Blurprints
Alternatively, you can use a Blueprint that includes a pre-made layout for every building type for a quicker, easier factory-building experience. You can save your current factory set-up in the Blueprint or use another person’s layout by using the share feature.
You can always replace the buildings with others that suit your needs once you assemble the factory using a Blueprint.
