Black Cat Abilities Guide
Black Cat has one of the highest skill ceilings and levels of skill expression in the game. The versatility of her kit allows her to thrive in nearly any situation, as long as the player plans accordingly. However, it also comes at the cost of having one of the highest skill floors. Playing her competently will be difficult for most players, thanks to her technical move set.

| Feline Fury | Feline Fury is Black Cat's basic autoattack. It's fast, deals a moderate amount of damage, and generates Fortune for her other abilities. |
| Claw Whip |
Claw Whip is the upgraded version of Feline Fury. Each auto attack costs 150 Fortune, and it deals damage in a wide cone in front of Black Cat. Great to use when enemies are all in proximity to one another, essentially refunding the cost to cast instantaneously. |
| Sticky Paws | Grants Black Cat 50 Fortune per hit on an enemy. |
| Cat's Cradle | Dash forward with claws ready, damaging enemies in your path. |
| Fortune's Favor | Spend Fortune to use upgraded abilities like Claw Whip or Phantom Pursuit. |

Turn of Fortune launches a grappling hook that, when it hits an enemy, generates a set amount of Fortune for Black Cat. |
| Phantom Pursuit |
While under the effect of Fortunes Favor, Turn of Fortune turns into Phantom Pursuit. This ability lets Black Cat dash in any direction while giving her intangibility, meaning she cannot be hit or targeted while using this ability. |
| Malkin Misfortune |
Apply Jinx to enemies on a hit. Jinxed foes have a chance to lose their bonus damage when striking Black Cat with a Crit. |
| Gift of Gold (Team-Up Ability) |
Black Cat shares her luck with her allies. When White Fox embraces her newfound fortune, she unleashes tracking Spirit Tails to grant Healing and Speed to allies, while damaging and Slowing Foes. When Captain America enjoys his luck, his shield's block radius expands and allows him to aim deflected Projectiles directly toward his target. |
Collection Abilities
Gilded Deal
Gilded Deal is what elevates Black Cat from the rest of the playable heroes. The ability allows her to open a dimensional rift to spend fortune and barter with the Gilded Saint to purchase rare relics from the New York Thieves Guild Vault.
Each of these abilities costs 200 Fortune except for Tablet of Destinies and Faltine Flame Orb, which costs 100 Fortune.

Black Cat Combos
Black Cat is a thief, and it helps to think like one when playing her; in short, every engagement requires a plan. Her kit allows players to be as creative as they can when entering combat, and it helps to break it down into 3 stages: Approach, Execution, and Escape.
Approach
Approach is essentially how players enter an engagement. Black Cat has multiple tools in her kit that let her engage the enemy backline easily. Players can use her Ring of Zona or her Helm of Hades to surprise attack the enemy backline.
Execution
Execution is the combat part and taking out your target. Black Cat is extremely nimble, and even if she does not really deal a whole lot of damage her she makes up for it with her mobility. It's best to use Mento-Fish, as it prevents enemies from running away effectively.
Escape
Finally, escape is as it says. Like a thief in the night, Black Cat can vanish; she can use her Phantom Pursuit to either execute an enemy or to reposition.
