What Is Hunter XP and Bloodline XP?

In Hunt: Showdown, the main goal for all Hunters is to grow the Bloodline. Bloodline experience is acquired by leveling up Hunters in either Soul Survivor or Bounty Hunt, retiring high-level Hunters, and finding Bloodline XP Posters. When a player fully maxes out their Bloodline, they can Prestige their account, which resets their progression.

Each Bloodline rank unlocks new Traits, new Weapon variants, Consumables, Tools, and Hunt Dollars, depending on the Rank. Upon reaching Rank 100, players are awarded $1000 for every 25,000 Bloodline XP that they earn. For equipment variants (Tools and Consumables) that are not unlocked through Bloodline progression, they are instead unlocked by using equipment from their respective trees. Weapon trees and variant progression are tracked through the Book of Weapons.

Hunter XP is separate from Bloodline XP, but leveling a Hunter means that they can apply Traits to themselves, while also granting extra bonuses for higher-tier Hunters. Once a Hunter reaches Level 50, the XP they earn will instead go straight to the Bloodline, which incentivizes keeping a max-level Hunter alive.
