Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 introduces six classes that players can use for all game modes. Each has its own perks and weaknesses, as well as its own exclusive unique abilities. These classes also gain bonuses that increase their effectiveness in battle, which you can unlock as you progress in the game. Here’s a list of all class perks and how to get them.

All Six Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 Classes

Each of the six classes in Space Marine 2 offer various playstyles, but they all still rely on shooting as their primary form of combat. Their perks offer multiple utilities that can be offensive, defensive, or even supportive. Here are all the classes in Space Marine 2 and their unique abilities:

Tactical

  • Auspex Scan: Scans the area, which reveals enemies and makes them more vulnerable to damage

Assault

  • Jump Pack: Enables upgraded dashes, leaps, and powerful jumps for melee attacks.

Vanguard

  • Grapnel Launcher: Enables the use of grapnels to propel to an enemy and perform a Diving Kick

Bulwark

  • Chapter Banner: Place down a flag that deals pulsating AoE shield restoration for nearby allies

Sniper

  • Camo Cloak: Cloaks the user in invisibility, which can only be removed until the next attack

Heavy

  • Iron Halo: Places a bubble shield that blocks all ranged damage

Aside from these exclusive abilities, the perks for each class can enhance the character's performance, the (Team) synergy, and the (Gear's) effectiveness, or they can apply unique effects.

How to Unlock Class Perks

Unlike some games, Space Marine 2 automatically unlocks your class perks once you level up. You gain specific bonuses upon reaching certain milestones, so you don't have to spend anything to collect them. However, you can’t use all of them simultaneously and must manually equip them. Unfortunately, this part comes with a price, as assigning perks to your Perk Tree will cost a small amount of resources.

All Class Perks (Category and Unlock Level)

Each class can unlock one perk every time they level up. These bonuses will belong to various categories and impact the character differently. Here are all the class perks in Space Marine 2.

Tactical Class

Balanced Distribution (Core)

  • Unlocks at level 2
  • Your Primary Weapon deals 10% more damage, but your Secondary Weapon deals 10% less damage.

Heightened Vigour (Core)

  • Unlocks at level 3
  • After a perfectly timed Dodge, you won’t lose control upon taking Heavy Hits and can’t be knocked back for 5 seconds.

Final Shot (Core)

  • Unlocks at level 4
  • After a Finisher, the equipped Ranged Weapon reloads automatically.

Communion of Fire (Team)

  • Unlocks at level 5
  • Recoil is reduced by 20% for all Squad Members.

Vital Data (Gear)

  • Unlocks at level 6
  • Scanning an Extremis or Terminus-level enemy restores Auspex Scan's Charge by 50%.

Battle Focus (Gear)

  • Unlocks at level 7
  • A perfectly timed Parry gives the parried enemy a mark from Auspex Scan.

Close Targeting (Gear)

  • Unlocks at level 8
  • When Auspex Scan is in cooldown, Melee Damage increases by 50% against Minoris enemies.

Signal Jammer (Signature)

  • Unlocks at level 9
  • Enemies marked by Auspex Scan cannot call for reinforcements.

  • Unlocks at level 10
  • When the Plasma Incinerator is 50% Overheated, its Damage increases by 30%.

Relentless Pursuit (Core)

  • Unlocks at level 11
  • Unlocks at level After a Gun Strike, Ranged Damage increases by 25% for 5 seconds.

Steady Aim (Core)

  • Unlocks at level 12
  • Recoil is reduced by 10%.

Aligned Aim (Team)

  • Unlocks at level 13
  • Ranged Damage increases by 5% for all Squad Members.

Priority Targeting (Gear)

  • Unlocks at level 14
  • The mark from Auspex Scan lasts 8 seconds longer (base: 8), but it ignores Minoris enemies.

Improved Efficiency (Gear)

  • Unlocks at level 15
  • Scanning 20 enemies with one Auspex Scan restores Equipment Charge by 1.

Expert Timing (Gear)

  • Unlocks at level 16
  • Enemies marked by Auspex Scan take an additional 100% Damage, but the mark's Duration is reduced by 4 seconds (base: 8).

Radiating Impact (Signature)

  • Unlocks at level 17
  • A Melee Finisher additionally deals with significant area-of-effect damage. The cooldown is 90 seconds.

Kraken Penetrator Rounds (Core)

  • Unlocks at level 18
  • Bolt Weapons penetrate one more enemy.

Versatility (Tactical Class) (Core)

  • Unlocks at level 19
  • After switching Weapons, your Secondary Weapon does 20% more damage. The effect lasts until reloading or switching back to your Primary Weapon.

Emperor's Vengeance (Core)

  • Unlocks at level 20
  • Killing a Majoris-level or higher enemy restores your Primary Weapon's Ammo by one magazine.

Transhuman Physiology (Team)

  • Unlocks at level 21
  • All Squad Members restore 30% more Contested Health.

Target Lock (Gear)

  • Unlocks at level 22
  • Enemies marked by Auspex Scan take 25% more Equipment Damage.

Precise Calibration (Gear)

  • Unlocks at level 23
  • Enemies marked by Auspex Scan take an additional 75% Damage, but its radius is reduced by 25%.

Concentrated Fire (Gear)

  • Unlocks at level 24
  • Enemies marked by Auspex Scan take an additional 100% Damage, but they lose the mark when they leave the scanned area.

Marked For Death (Signature)

  • Unlocks at level 25
  • A Headshot will instantly kill a Majoris- or Extremis-level enemy marked by Auspex Scan. The cooldown is 120 seconds.

Assault Class

Winged Fury (Core)

  • Unlocks at level 2
  • Damage from Melee Attacks executed while sprinting or dashing increases by 25%.

Auxiliary Arsenal (Core)

  • Unlocks at level 3
  • Secondary Weapon's Damage increases by 15%.

Perseverance (Core)

  • Unlocks at level 4
  • While performing charged attacks, you do not lose control when taking heavy hits and cannot be knocked back.

Squad Cohesion (Team)

  • Unlocks at level 5
  • All Squad Members' Abilities recharge 10% faster.

Smiting Angel (Gear)

  • Unlocks at level 6
  • Ground Pound's Damage increases by 10%

  • Jump Pack Dash damages enemies along its trajectory.

Pride In Duty (Gear)

  • Unlocks at level 8
  • After a Finisher, Ground Pound deals 25% more damage for 10 seconds.

  • After you are grabbed or knocked back, you deal 15% more Melee Damage for 10 seconds.

Hammer Of Wrath (Gear)

  • Unlocks at level 14
  • After a ground pound, you do not lose control when taking heavy hits and can’t be knocked back for 10 seconds.

Maneuverability (Gear)

  • Unlocks at level 15
  • Jump Pack recharges 20% faster.

Diligence (Gear)

  • Unlocks at level 16
  • A thoroughly prepared Ground Pound deals 20% more damage, but preparation time increases by 25%.

Ascension (Signature)

  • Unlocks at level 17
  • Jump Pack Leap deals damage to all enemies in the takeoff area.

Armour Reinforcement (Assault Class) (Core)

  • Unlocks at level 18
  • Non-Finisher Gun Strikes also restore Armour

Consecutive Execution (Assault Class) (Core)

  • Unlocks at level 19
  • Killing 15 enemies in rapid succession restores Equipment Charge by 1. The cooldown is 180 seconds.

Act of Attrition (Core)

  • Unlocks at level 20
  • Enemies hit by Melee Attacks take 10% more damage for 3 seconds.

Proven Efficiency (Team)

  • Unlocks at level 21
  • All Squad Members deal 50% more Gun Strike Damage.

Precision Strike (Gear)

  • Unlocks at level 22
  • Ground Pound deals 100% more damage, but its radius is reduced by 50%.

Zealous Blow (Gear)

  • Unlocks at level 23
  • A Ground Pound kill restores Jump Pack's Charge by 10%.

Aerial Grace (Gear)

  • Unlocks at level 24
  • After a perfectly timed Dodge using a Jump Pack Dash, you deal 25% more damage for 5 seconds.

Commitment (Signature)

  • Unlocks at level 25
  • A perfectly time Dodge using a Jump Pack Dash restores Jump Pack's Ability Charge.

Vanguard Class

Moving Target (Core)

  • Unlocks at level 2
  • Each Melee Attack you land reduces the Ranged Damage you take by 1% (up to 15%). The effect ends if you do not land a Melee Attack for 3 seconds.

Duellist (Core)

  • Unlocks at level 3
  • Perfect Parry window increases by 50%

Retribution (Vanguard Class) (Core)

  • Unlocks at level 4
  • After you are grabbed or knocked back, you deal 20% more Melee Damage for 10 seconds.

Melee Champion (Team)

  • Unlocks at level 5
  • All Squad Members deal 15% more Melee Damage.

Restless Fortitude (Gear)

  • Unlocks at level 6
  • After a Diving Kick, take 10% less Ranged Damage for 10 seconds.

Zone Of Impact (Gear)

  • Unlocks at level 7
  • Performing a Finisher with the Grapnel Launcher deals a small amount of damage to nearby enemies.

Thrill Of The Fight (Gear)

  • Unlocks at level 8
  • After a perfectly timed Parry or Dodge, you take 15% less Health Damage for 3 seconds.

Tactical Prowess (Signature)

  • Unlocks at level 9
  • Performing a Finisher with the Grapnel Launcher restores its charge.

Melee Mastery (Vanguard Class) (Core)

  • Unlocks at level 10
  • Melee Damage increases by 10% against Majoris-level and higher enemies.

  • Unlocks at level 11
  • You take 20% less Melee Damage but 10% more Ranged Damage.

  • Unlocks at level 12
  • Killing 15 enemies in rapid succession restores Equipment Charge by 1. The cooldown is 180 seconds.

Unmatched Zeal (Team)

  • Unlocks at level 13
  • Melee Finishers of Extremis enemies additionally restore a small amount of Health for any Squad Member

Shock Wave (Gear)

  • Unlocks at level 14
  • Diving Kick additionally deals damage in a 5-metre radius.

Tenacity (Gear)

  • Unlocks at level 15
  • After killing 15 enemies rapidly, Diving Kick's Damage increases by 25% for 10 seconds.

Grim Determination (Gear)

  • Unlocks at level 16
  • When Grapnel Launcher is in cooldown, Weapon Damage increases by 10%.

Emperor's Blessing (Signature)

  • Unlocks at level 17
  • Taking Lethal Damage restores all Armour instead of Incapacitating you. The cooldown is 180 seconds.

Upper Hand (Core)

  • Unlocks at level 18
  • After a perfectly timed Parry or Dodge, you do not lose control upon taking Heavy Hits and cannot be knocked back for 5 seconds.

Conviction (Vanguard Class) (Core)

  • Unlocks at level 19
  • When your Armour is fully Depleted, take 15% less Health Damage for 10 seconds.

Honed Reactions (Core)

  • Unlocks at level 20
  • When your Health is less than 50%, your Perfect Dodge window is doubled.

Inner Fire (Team)

  • Unlocks at level 21
  • All squad members can restore their ability charge by 15% by performing Finishers.

Collateral Damage (Gear)

  • Unlocks at level 22
  • Diving Kick additionally deals a small amount of damage to enemies on the way to the Grapnel Launcher's target.

  • Enemies hit by Diving Kick take 15% more Ranged Damage for 10 seconds.

Unyielding Ceramite (Team)

  • Unlocks at level 5
  • The delay before Armour regenerates passively is reduced by 5 seconds (base: 25) for all Squad Members.

Concussive Force (Gear)

  • Unlocks at level 6
  • Shield Bash deals more damage.

Purity of Purpose (Gear)

  • Unlocks at level 7
  • The banner deals a small amount of damage over time to enemies within its area of effect.

Rejuvenating Effect (Gear)

  • Unlocks at level 8
  • When the banner is activated, it revives Incapacitated Squad Members within its area of effect.

Emergency Countermeasure (Signature)

  • Unlocks at level 9
  • When your Armour is depleted, a reserve Shock Grenade automatically detonates at your position. The cooldown is 120 seconds.

Intimidating Aura (Core)

  • Unlocks at level 10
  • A perfectly timed Parry deals area-of-effect damage within a 5-metre radius.

Shock And Awe (Core)

  • Unlocks at level 11
  • Enemies in a Shock area take 25% more damage.

Steel Within (Core)

  • Unlocks at level 12
  • When your Health is less than 50%, you take 25% less Health Damage.

  • Unlocks at level 13
  • Contested Health fades 50% more slowly for all Squad Members.

Rapid Regeneration (Gear)

  • The banner restores Armour 300% faster, but its Duration is reduced to 5 seconds.

Merciless Resolve (Gear)

  • Unlocks at level 15
  • After a Shield Bash, you do not lose control upon taking Heavy Hits and cannot be knocked back for 5 seconds.

Glory's Shield (Gear)

  • Unlocks at level 16
  • All Squad Members within the banner's area of effect take 10% less damage.

  • The Maximum amount of Ammo you can carry increases by 10%

  • Recoil from Bolt Sniper Rifles and Stalker Bolt Rifles is reduced by 30%.

  • Headshot Damage increases by 20% for all Squad Members.

  • Manually activating the Camo Cloak removes negative Status Effects.

Guardian Protocol (Gear)

  • Unlocks at level 7
  • When reviving a Squad Member, Camo Cloak hides you and the Squad Member for 5 seconds without spending charge. The cooldown is 30 seconds.

  • Bolt Carbines reload 15% faster.

  • When Iron Halo is active, all Squad Members within 100 meters regenerate Ability Charge 50% faster.
