Throne and Liberty’s Temple of Slaughter is a 1-Star Dimensional Circle dungeon where you’ll need to take on Rex Chimaerus. Read on to see an overview and walkthrough of the Temple of Slaughter, and how to beat Rex Chimaerus, the dungeon’s final boss.

Dungeon Walkthrough
Much like the Temple of Roar, for this dungeon, the party will simply need to traverse each room and clear it of any enemies. On top of that, they’ll need to activate the Mana Flood Regulators in each room to reach the next stage of the dungeon.That’s not all though, don’t be fooled into thinking it’s that simple! Players will also need to take care of a few minibosses in this dungeon, which will require both teamwork and coordination.
The first miniboss, Berserk Dark Enforcer, has a mechanic where lava spews from his body, inflicting Burn stacks on anyone standing nearby. This effect can be removed by jumping into the nearby bodies of water. Aside from that, his attacks are fairly standard and can be aggroed by the party tank.
The next miniboss, Ancient Berserk Shade Wizard, has an annoying mechanic where they’ll summon flaming dogs in the arena that will chase players and explode, dealing damage and stunning them. Players who are targeted by a flaming dog should kit the dogs to avoid taking any unnecessary damage.
Rex Chimaerus Mechanics
When entering the arena, players will find four pillars chained to a platform in the middle of the room. Midway into the boss fight, Rex will charge up a Fire Wave attack, which causes Air Pitons to appear around the arena. Players must use these Air Pitons to grapple up and reach the platform in the middle of the arena and pull a lever.
Once the lever is activated, the chains from the four pillars surrounding the arena can now be interacted with. Players must now interact with all four chains to prevent Rex Chimaerus' Fire Wave attack from starting again.
Before starting the fight, have all ranged players stand next to each pillar to resolve the Fire Wave mechanic faster so that the party can continue DPSing the boss as usual.
Two other party members can substitute in case one fails to reach the platform.
Once all four chains from the pillars become interactable, the party members stationed near the them should interact with one of the four chains. Doing so in a timely manner prevents Rex Chimaerus from performing a devastating AoE attack.
Rex Chaimaerus Attacks
Acid Puddles
Rex Chimaerus shoots out acid projectiles from his tail at three of the most distant players, creating a puddle of acid at their position. Players will simply need to relocate and avoid staying on the acid puddle to avoid taking tick damage.
Paralyzing Venom
Rex Chimaerus will spit venom at a randomized target. After a short delay, the affected target will be paralyzed for a longer duration. This attack is unavoidable and cannot be mitigated directly. After the paralysis takes effect, Rex Chimaerus will launch fireballs at the debuffed player.
Fireballs
This attack has Rex Chimaerus launch fireballs at the target affected by the Paralyzing Venom attack, dealing massive damage with every hit. This attack is always follows Paralyzing Venom. Be sure to also keep in mind that, while shooting fireballs, Rex Chaimaerus will spray poison at his right flank using its tail.
Since the fireballs have an AoE effect, the best way to mitigate this attack is to have the tank soak the damage from the fireballs while the healers heal through the damage. DPS and support players should stay clear of the boss' right side to avoid getting hit by the spray.
AoE Team Wipe Attack
This attack has Rex Chimaerus perform a lethal AoE attack that most likely will wipe out the entire party. This attack will only occur if the party fails to activate the lever and the four pillars, which is the boss' unique wipe mechanic.
