What Are Exalted Orbs?
Known as the currency that players use to enhance a piece of rare equipment with a new random affix, Exalted Orbs are one of the three orbs in Path of Exile commonly used to exchange items between other players. The best way to think of Exalted Orbs is that it’s of higher value when compared to the Chaos Orb, and it’s of lower value than the Mirror of Kalandra.
Sell Path of Exile Currency to Players
Exalted Orbs are often dropped by chests, destructible containers, and monsters. They’re a high-value currency that’s played a crucial role in Path of Exile’s economy. Since the Exalted Orbs’ primary purpose is for crafting high-end items, it’s touted as the “gold standard” currency for anything related to trading. Players usually trade Exalted Orbs for other valuable equipment instead of using them.
Although the orbs can be dropped in many ways, they’re constantly in demand by the Path of Exile community, making them highly prized. This is because Exalted Orbs are used to add one random affix to a rare item. It makes them a perfect currency for anything related to high-level crafting. Early game players don’t use them; it’s the late game gamers/veterans who are the ones that vacuum up the currency like there’s no tomorrow.
As a result, other players turn to use third-party marketplaces to get Exalted Orbs the easy way. They can try to farm the currency on their own, but with so many alternatives, gamers now typically prefer a hassle-free experience when getting their fix.
How to Increase the Chances of Getting Exalted Orbs
Exalted Orbs can be dropped in almost any area – they’re not limited to maps or other high-level areas either. The easiest way for players to increase their chances of seeing an Exalted Orb drop is to open more boxes, kill more monsters, and hand over more stones. Players can also get more Exalted Orbs from Divination Cards, including (but not limited to) Abandoned Wealth which is dropped in Arsenal. They can also go to vault maps and harvest level 1 and 2 beasts there, as farming in those places ostensibly increases their chances.
How Sellers Can Farm Exalted Orbs
Sellers can’t make any profit if they don’t have the necessary stock available. They need to know how to get the items they need – in this case, Exalted Orbs in Path of Exile.
Get Divination Cards
Farming Divination Cards are an efficient way to get Exalted Orbs. More specifically, players will have to look for The Saint’s Treasure cards. This is because players can exchange 10 The Saint’s Treasures for 2 Exalted Orbs. They can acquire this Divination Card in these areas:
- The Slums
- The Marketplace
- The Grain Gate
- The Imperial Fields
If gamers would rather farm other Divination Cards instead of The Saint’s Treasure, they can apply the same for The Hoarder. 12 They can exchange the Hoarder cards for 1 Exalted Orb. Here’s where they can find them:
- The Harvest
- The Belly of the Beast (Level 1 and Level 2)
- The Rotting Core
Finally, players can also farm the Abandoned Wealth Divination Card. They can exchange 5 Abandoned Wealth cards for 3 Exalted Orbs. Here’s where they can find them:
- Mao Kun
Flipping More Accessible Currencies to Exalted Orbs
In Path of Exile, players can exchange their lower-tier currency for Exalted Orbs. For example, they can use 20 Exalted Shards to create 1 Exalted Orb. To get these Exalted Shards, they must either sell a full set of Elder items or a complete set of Shaper items (amounting to 2-4 Exalted Shards if all items are unidentified).
Chaos Orbs is another currency that’s easy to get in Path of Exile. There’s a reason why this currency has become a staple in PoE– it’s because of its versatility. Chaos Orbs can be used to craft/re-roll rare items, add Zana mods in the map device, buy items, and even re-roll maps. Best of all, players can exchange them for Exalted Orbs! In short, players will always have Chaos Orbs in their inventory, whether they like it or not. The ratio of Chaos Orbs to Exalted Orbs is 40-70 to 1 Exalted Orb (depending on the current Challenge League). Chaos Orbs drop from level 12 enemies and above, but the earliest place you can find the currency is in “The Prisoner’s Gate” (by farming the Rare and Unique monsters there).
