Buying Rocket League Crates, Keys & Items

Rocket League Crates & Keys

The best way to grow your item collection fast is to open crates with keys. Crates are often earned through in-game drops. Keys are commonly purchased by players in order to open crates and find out what kind of exciting items await inside. Collecting enough Rocket League crates and keys to grow your collection fast can be a long, difficult grind which is why many gamers choose to buy them.

Another reason to buy crates is because some crate is simply not available in-game anymore. Rocket League has seasonal or special event crates that are only available for a limited time. If you weren’t playing the game at the time the crate was available then the only way to get the crate would be to purchase from sellers on PlayerAuctions.

Now, pick from the many crates and keys available on our marketplace. You can get a bundle containing 4 of each crate type. Or, mix and match the types of crates you’re really looking for. Choose from every crate type including Overdrive crates and Player’s Choice crates. The selection is massive and you can find any type of crate your heart desires.

Other Items: Cars, Wheels, Decals and More

While crates are among the most popular items, they aren’t the only Rocket League items you can find in our marketplace. If you’re looking for specific Rocket League items to buy then you can filter listings on PlayerAuctions to suit your exact needs. Finally, no more waiting for that ultra-rare Black Market decal to drop… Just go ahead and buy it!

How to Get Your Rocket League Crates and Items?

Getting them delivered is easy. Add your seller as a friend in-game, create a party with them, and invite them to trade. If you’re playing on PC, add them as a friend in Steam first. Players using consoles can directly create a party and invite their seller for trading. It’s that simple. In no time you will be back in the Rocket League arena showing off your latest loot!

Rocket League Trading

How to Trade in Rocket League?

Rocket League trading, in most cases, refer to the item exchange activity between two players. There are many big trading platforms where players can submit apost listing out items one ‘HAS’ and items the same one ‘WANTS’ to look for potential exchange partner. It can be a few crates and keys in exchange for a Kilowatt or any combination you can think of.

This can be extremely helpful for those players who struggle to get some specific items whilst having some duplicate items in their inventory. However, it can easily become a complicated, time-consuming and risky process. As there are so many different combinations of items, it might take forever for a player to find a perfect match for his/her ‘HAS’ and ‘WANTS’. In addition, it’s hard to judge and calculate if a deal is fair, not to mention the high risk of one side bailing or not delivering as promised.

So why not just buy them directly by just spending a few bucks? It’s a shortcut to a much better gameplay experience, without too much cost or any risk.

PlayerAuctions makes it safe to buy from our members by securing your payment and guaranteeing delivery.

  • Buyer creates order and send payment to PlayerAuctions
  • PlayerGuardian secures payment
  • Seller completes delivery within delivery guarantee
  • Buyer confirm delivery
  • Seller receives disbursement

Option 1: In-game, Face to Face Delivery

Sellers will select this method of delivery if they intend to meet your character in-game with one of their own characters. Usually a seller will coordinate a time and location in-game to meet your character.

  • Be sure to confirm the time to account for time zone differences
  • Confirm which Shard or Server the delivery is to take place in case your game world has more than one.
  • Never, under any circumstances, return gold, item, etc. to the delivery character if ever asked. In the event the seller asks you to, please take A screenshot and report this to PlayerAuctions Customer Support.

Option 2: In-game Mailbox delivery.

Some sellers will select the option to deliver gold or items directly to an in-game mailbox. This option is less popular for larger Games like WoW, but is still viable amongst other games. This option can be convenient for smaller orders because you do not need to coordinate time of delivery.

Low Prices: Prices set by other players or PowerSellers on PlayerAuctions are significantly lower than the high markups you would find on expensive retail sites.

Guaranteed Security: PlayerAuctions is quite simply the most secure place to buy and sell MMO game assets. Through PlayerGuardian, you are 100% guaranteed full and as-described delivery, or your money back.

Reliable Delivery Speed: PlayerAuctions calculates each seller's average delivery speed from the seller's latest successfully completed deliveries, which gives you a clear idea of how fast the seller will deliver your order.

To see how quickly the seller may deliver your order, refer to the seller's delivery guarantee period, which is their promise to complete delivery within a certain timeframe after your payment is securely sent to PlayerAuctions and is successfully verified. Each seller sets their delivery guarantee period independent of PlayerAuctions. In the event that the seller is not able to complete the delivery within their guaranteed time, you may cancel the order without penalty for a hassle-free refund from PlayerAuctions.

PlayerAuctions guarantees that the seller will deliver your order, or your money back. The overwhelming majority of transactions through our site occur successfully. As for the very exceptional cases, you can rest assured that they have been carefully considered by our systems and processes, and we are well prepared to handle them in the rare event that they do occur. About Rocket League Items

Top 5 Rocket League Crates to Open

Knowing which crates in Rocket League are worth opening can be a bit tricky; you never know what you’re going to get. While chance does indeed play a huge part in all of it, you can take control of things by playing the odds to tip the scales in your favor. So which crates are worth the trouble and which ones are so-so? We’ve sifted through all the existing crates in Rocket League and done all the nit-picking so you won’t have to. Here are the top tiers to open with your precious keys.

5th - Champion’s Crate (Drop Chance: N/A)

With a total of four incarnations during its run, the Champion’s Crate still manages to be a coveted crate. What makes this feat so much more impressive is the fact that it is no longer available in the game. Yup! Part of its allure is due to its rarity; players will always want something they can’t get. Luckily, sellers are willing to part ways with their unopened Champion’s Crates, so you’ve still got a chance to get a sneak peek at what’s inside! Released back on December 7, 2016 as part of the Starbase Arc update, it features a ton of goodies for those willing to part ways with their keys.

Players will get a chance to win one item out of (5) Rare decals, (3) Very Rare decals, (2) Exotic wheels, (1) Import wheel, (1) Very Rare wheel, (1) Import body, (1) Import rocket boost, and (3) Black Marker decals if they open up the Champion’s Crate.

Notes on Rarity

The slimmer the chance of getting an item, the more coveted and expensive it’ll be. The odds of getting items based on rarity are as follows:

  • Rare Item – 55%
  • Very Rare Item – 28%
  • Import Item – 12%
  • Exotic Item – 4%
  • Black Market Item – 1%

Keys and Decryptors Explained

Two items open Rocket League crates. They are Keys and Decryptors. While they share the same function, they differ in the method to obtain them, as well as their effect on the resulting item.

Players buy keys from their console’s respective marketplace with real money. Because they can be traded, it became the in-game currency. They have a ‘trade hold’ characteristic restricting their trade for a week from the time of purchase. The time transfers to the item if the key is used while it’s still in effect. Otherwise, you’re free to trade the keys and the items you get from crates.

Decryptors, on the other hand, are the rarer version of keys. Players can only get them through special events or the Rocket Pass. They’re not tradable, and they pass that trait down to the item you get when you open a crate with them. While it seems better to open crates with keys so you can trade away an item you don’t like, decryptors offer an added layer of security.

For example, if you get hacked, they won’t be able to steal or trade away those items you obtained using decryptors. However, it’s still a bit of a risk since you could be left with items you don’t like. At any rate, it’s your call to use whichever of the two for opening crates.

A Taste of Crates to Drop

Aesthetics matter. While these crates will do close to nothing to improve your skills and odds of winning in the stadium, they sure as hell will make the game a lot more enjoyable and pleasing to the eyes. There are tons of crates for players to open in the game with only a limited amount of keys/decryptors. As such, you have to be a bit stingy if you want to maximize the ones in your possession. To learn more about the intricacies of the Rocket League Crate System, go here.

Since Psyonix always does its best to give its faithful legion of Rocket Leaguers something to look forward to, we’re sure changes and further additions to crate contents and even bigger & better ones are on the horizon for Rocket League. Stay tuned for the latest updates right here at PlayerAuctions!

Black Market Decals

Whilst most of the items can be obtained through crates, the Black Market Decals (BM Decals) have a very low chance of being found in crates. These customization options are “universal”, means they are applicable to all types of cars. And what makes them even cooler is they are animated! This makes them become one of the most popular items in our marketplace. Best-known examples include Dissolver, Hexed, Heatwave, Biomass, Slipstream, Bubbly, Parallax, Endo and etc.

Cars (bodies)

Import bodies and Premium bodies are not available in-game but are only obtainable by opening crates (import body) or purchased as DLC (premium body). Each body has various versions, and some are more popular or rarer and therefore more expensive than others. Good examples would be the Dominus GT, Octane ZSR, Titanium White Octane, White and Crimson Jager and many more.

Read about The 7 Rules for Cool Rocket League Cars.

Another highly-sought item is wheels. Very Rare and Import wheels can only be obtained via crates. Exotic wheels, on the other hand, can also be obtained by trading in 5 Import wheels from the same crate.

Other than rarity, there are also wheels that are platform exclusives, which means they can only be obtained by players of specific consoles.

Some of hottest wheels are the Titanium White versions of Zombas, Draco and many more. (Known as White Zombas, Titanium White Dracos)

So if you have a specific car or wheel in mind, why not buying them directly instead of taking the chance of opening random crates? Search the items you‘d like in our marketplace and you‘ll be surprised how much cheaper they are than you thought.
