The Best OSRS Bosses for Farming Gold

Best OSRS Bosses

Content

If you've ever wondered which OSRS bosses are the most profitable in the game, you've come to the right place. Some of the choices you will find here can bag you a nice little profit by overcoming some tough battles. Bosses play a massive role in OSRS, and the risk of battling them often comes with a high reward. In this case, we will be looking at the ones which will net you the most profit for you and your character.

Best OSRS Bosses for Gold Farming List

Currently, the best OSRS bosses for gold farming, who we will be discussing in this article, are:

Zulrah

This particular boss was one of the early bosses that offered a high hourly profit. This has led Zulrah to be nerfed several times, but it is still more than worthy of a place on the list.

To face Zulrah, you will need to have completed the Regicide quest. The boss presents itself with four phases for players to battle through, so needless to say, it is no mean feat. To get through these stages effectively, you will want to have a good setup where your Ranged and Magic skills and equipment are concerned. If you want a quicker way of taking down Zulrah, you should investigate getting a Twisted Bow with full range, keeping costs down. By beating Zulrah, you can expect to make just shy of 3,000,000 GP per hour.

Zalcano

Another worthy mention is Zolcano which will require players to complete the Song of Elves quest to get to his location. This is considered a skilling boss since you'll need to use your Runecrafting, Mining, and Smithing skills to triumph. Having your skills and level 99, particularly Mining, can help you since you can pick up a Crystal Pickaxe. This will give you the highest possible slot of those doing battle with the boss, and you can expect more MVP kills to increase the GP that you make.

Get some Crystal shards, then convert them into either Divine potions or use them with Crystal Keys so that you can gain access to an enhanced Crystal chest. This way, you will make a hefty amount of gold or receive your shards again, and there's even a chance of getting the highly profitable Dragonstone armor which sits at a value of 5,000,000 GP.

Zalcano certainly has some good drops, such as the Crystal Tool Seed. But it can also be killed 20 times per hour at 162,000 GP for each kill that you achieve.

Alchemical Hydra

Alchemical Hydra is another highly profitable boss, but it comes with a pretty high requirement of 95 Slayer. The Alchemical Hydra can only be killed when assigned the Hydra Slayer task from Konar. As with the previous boss on the list, you should whip out your Twisted bow for this battle. If you don't have one to hand, then a Blowpipe can work well.

The Hydra itself offers the two best-in-slot items you will want to get ahold of. Mainly you'll want to look for the Hydra's Claw since you can use it with the Zamorakian Hasta to make the Dragon Hunter Lance. The boss also drops the rare Hydra Leather, which you will need to use on the machinery near the Lithkren Vault pool. This will allow you to eventually make the Ferocious Gloves with a hammer, the best gloves in-slot in OSRS.

You can expect just over 150,000 GP for each kill, with 25 kills per hour achievable.

Kree'arra

When it comes to Kree'arra there is a way in which you can increase the amount of gold and kills you get per hour. This involves using the Black Chinchompas and the Blood Barrage, which is incredibly effective if you plan to make a solo attempt. The area of effect that the Black Chinchompas has allows you to hit several enemies at once. This can be very useful since you need to be able to kill the enemies that are near the boss. The area of effect will then hit Kree'arra and cause damage, making this method the quickest way to kill it. Though it might seem more costly, it will increase the number of kills you can get each hour. This means that you are more likely to get additional item drops and pets from this encounter.

At 269,000 GP per kill, you have the chance to kill this boss 20 times per hour. However, most of your profit will be coming from the Armadyl Chestplate and Chainskirt, which will earn 41M and 34M GP, respectively.

Vorkath

This is a very profitable boss, but it does have some pretty hefty requirements. It would help if you got through the Dragon Slayer II quest, which means that you will need relatively high combat skills to get there in the first place.

Your goal again is to increase the amount that you make in profit per hour. Keeping that in mind, having a Dragon Hunter Lance or Crossbow will mean that you can get more kills per hour. This is because of the damage and accuracy increase that these weapons bring to the table.

One point to look out for in this fight is the poison segment, which can be challenging to overcome. Make sure that you move around a lot, lest you succumb to the poison balls that will kill you off rather quickly.

Looking at the statistics for this boss, you can get 135,000 GP for each kill, and you can get 30 kills per hour with the right gear. One particularly notable drop from this boss is the Onyx Bolt Tips, which can earn from 40M to 245M in the right hands, while there's also the Skeletal Visage, which stands at 31M.

The Nightmare of Ashihama

The Nightmare of Ashihama is one of the newer bosses on this list, and it's a massive money-maker for a lot of players in Old School RuneScape. This otherworldly being feeds on the life force of slumbering people through their nightmares, ultimately devouring them afterward. This dream eater is located in Morytania's Sisterhood Sanctuary.

Up to 80 players can take on the multi-combat bosses, so think of it as like a mini raid boss, if you will. But if you want to maximize the gold you'll be getting after the battle, the Nightmare of Ashihama is best when facing a team of around four.

All of the unique items that she drops fetch a high price in the market. For example, the Inquisitor's Mace can be sold for around 500 million gold, while the Inquisitor's armor pieces (armor, mace, staff) can be seen being sold for 120-190 million a pop. And let's not forget about the most valuable item that the Nightmare of Ashihama drops, the Harmonised Orb, worth over 840 million gold.

Abyssal Sire

The Abyssal Sire a Slayer boss that requires 85 Slayer to kill. Since the early times of the God Wars, Sires has been known as the “engineers of the Abyss.” Since they didn't have any means to escape during those tumultuous times, the Sires decided to construct the Nexus. To find the Abyssal Sire, you must go to the South of the Runecrafting Abyss and enter using the Fairy Ring. You can enter directly into the area instead of taking a long way around, but keep in mind that the site will drain your Prayer points if you don't have an Abyssal Bracelet equipped.

There are three phases to the battle of the Abyssal Sire. In the first phase, focus on killing the four respiratory systems on the sides of the room to prevent the boss from healing itself. Then, when the second phase comes, the Abyssal Sire will start to use melee attacks and summon NPCs called Spawns to create poisonous pools on the platform. Finally, in the third phase (when the Sire reaches half of its health), the boss will throw miasma pools across the whole room. Once the Sire goes 33% healthy, use some potions as he'll use a high-damaging attack.

The Abyssal Sire remains one of the best bosses to farm gold in Old School RuneScape due to their Unsired item drop. This item can be used at the Font of Consumption (located behind the overseer), where players have the chance to get a Jar of Miasma, an Abyssal Whip/Dagger/Head, or any other untradeable parts such as the spine, axon, or claw. These items are valuable and can be sold at a high price in the Auction Market.

Happy Farming!

These OSRS bosses are great ways for you to earn a healthy profit in the game. Just remember to go into each encounter prepared to maximize the number of kills and gold that you can make every hour.
