Marvel Rivals just released a Winter Event update, and we’re getting several new skins and an additional game mode. Players can also claim a free Jeff the Land Shark cosmetic by completing the event’s challenges. Here’s everything you need to know for the Marvel Rivals Winter Event.
All Marvel Rival Winter Event Skins
The most awaited part of this update is the introduction of five new skins, one of which is entirely free. The rest are available in the game’s item shop, but two will only be live after December 27, 2024. Here are all the Winter Event cosmetics:
- Cuddly Fuzzlefin Costume (Jeff the Land Shark): Obtained via event challenges
- Holiday Happiness (Groot): Available in the shop from December 20, 2024, to January 10, 2025
- Wild Winter (Rocket Raccoon): Available in the shop from December 20, 2024, to January 10, 2025
- Snow Symbiote (Venom): Available in the shop from December 27, 2024, to January 10, 2025
- Frozen Demon (Magik): Available in the shop from December 27, 2024, to January 10, 2025
All Marvel Rivals Challenges and Rewards
One highlight of this event is the new game mode, which you’ll need to grind to obtain all the free rewards during this period. These prizes include the Jeff the Land Shark skin and other cosmetics. The rewards can be redeemed using a Wintery Atmosphere token, which you get from decorating the Winter Celebration Card. You must decorate the card with Golden Frosts to receive the currency. Here are all the daily missions you need to farm for the Winter Event:
- Win three matches in Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival = 1 Golden Frost
- Win two games in Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival with your team’s decoration rate above 40% = 1 Golden Frost
- Complete five matches in Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival = 3 Silver Frost
- Defeat 15 enemies in Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival = 3 Silver Frost
- Win two games in Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival with your score over 6,000 pts = 1 Gold Frost
- Deal 2000 damage in Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival = 3 Silver Frost
It’s estimated you need to complete all daily missions for five days to receive enough tokens to redeem the rewards. Here are all the prizes connected to the Winter Event:
- Cuddly Fuzzlefin Spray (100 Wintery Atmosphere)
- All-You-Can-Eat Emote (200 Wintery Atmosphere)
- Cuddly Fuzzlefin Nameplate (300 Wintery Atmosphere)
- How Ice Sculpting Works MVP Film (400 Wintery Atmosphere)
- Cuddly Fuzzlefin Costume (500 Wintery Atmosphere)
These rewards are permanent, but can only be earned until January 9, 2025. It’s not likely that the skin will return in future events, so make sure to farm the prizes before they go away for good.
