Helldivers 2’s crossover event Killzone 2 (part one) is live. Along with it comes some new goodies in the premium Superstore. One of those new items is the Sta-52 assault rifle, which costs 615 Super Credits. The other treats include a new armor set, helmet, cape, and icon. If you’re eyeing to get your hand on everything that’s dropped, you’re looking at shelling out 1,975 Super Credits (about $19.99) in total. Fans online have complained about the pricing and even Arrowhead Games CEO Shams Jorjani addressed all the buzz on Discord, citing "we will persevere and improve things in due course." Now, is it really worth it? Here’s our review of the Sta-52, all the other store items, and our final verdict.
Sta-52 Weapon Performance
- Deals 70 damage
- Uses Light Armor Penetration
- Magazine capacity of 56
- Shots 790 rounds per minute
- Has a recoil stat of 19
- Contains 6 magazines
Compared to the base Liberator assault rifle, the Sta-52 is a direct upgrade, especially when it comes to magazine capacity and rate of fire, allowing you to put out more rounds down range without needing to reload as much. Against Terminids, this will be a great primary weapon to bring, though it may struggle against the Automatons and the Illuminate Overseers.
If you like the Liberator, you’ll definitely want to give the Sta-52 a go. But, be warned, it has the same weakness as its direct competitor, which is being less effective against armored targets. For its current price, it’s best to wait until a drop before getting it.
AC-1 Dutiful Armor (Body Armor and Helmet)
- 100 armor rating
- 500 speed
- 100 stamina regen
- Provides 50% damage resistance against fire, gas, acid, and electricity
This armor set costs 500 Super Credits and is by far the better option compared to the assault rifle, as it has one of the most versatile armor passives in the game. 50% resistance against every type of elemental damage in the game is nothing to scoff at, especially when paired up with a teammate running gas strikes, napalm Stratagems, and arc loadouts. Overall, this armor set alone is worth the 500 Super Credits since it can be a great go-to armor set for your Helldiver. Not to mention the helmet, which is going for 310 Super Credits a pop, looks super cool too, letting fans play as an actual Helghast.
Strength in Our Arms (Cape and Player Card)
Both of these items showcase the Helghast Triad of the Helghan Empire icon. 400 Super Credits altogether seems like a hefty price though.
Assault Infantry (Player Title)
Now, this title is exclusive to the premium Superstore, meaning you can’t get it by buying the Super Citizen Edition or unlocking a Premium Warbond. So, it might be worth copping if you want the exclusivity. 150 Super Credits for it.
