FIFA's FUT Mode
FUT mode has become the most popular mode of FIFA. FUT mode, pronounced “foot”, is a mode that allows gamers to open virtual “packs” to collect cards of various players from around the world, which they'll then use to assemble a full football team. You'll also get cards like stadiums, team formations, staff members for the team and modifying cards like training cards, contracts, fitness cards, healing cards (for injured players) and others, all used to make changes to the way your players and team play.
While some of the modifier cards are powerful and highly sought-after, FUT is really about the players. Each player is rated based on their individual skill, and there are thousands of different players to collect. Highly-rated players and rare variations of cards are harder to find, and since each pack you open is done “blind”, you often have to open quite a few to get good cards. An average FIFA player is going to have to spend a lot of in-game currency to get a decent team going, even if you buy special packs that give a better chance of getting rare cards.
This becomes even truer if you use the alternative way to acquire players, which is to buy them from other gamers in the online FIFA marketplace. There you can spend FIFA 16 coins and purchase the players you want in an auction where another FIFA gamer can put their own players up for sale and then let the virtual masses bid on them with their coins. If you have the highest bid in the given amount of time, you get that player!
To get packs or to buy players, and thus improve your team, you're going to need a whole lot of what FIFA calls coins. FIFA coins are the game's currency, and each pack you buy is worth a certain number of coins. The bigger the pack, or the more rare cards it is likely to contain, the more coins it costs (packs are almost always in the thousands of FIFA 16 coins/FIFA 16 Coins).
Collecting coins the regular way is a bit of a slog - you have to play and win games online against other players and accomplish tasks such as winning tournaments, which awards you coins based on how well you played and/or for how hard the task was. Those FIFA coins are then added to your account, and you can then use them to buy packs.
This is designed to take a long time, and it isn't exactly fair by any means. Players that have a lot of time to plug into FUT mode will be able to earn a whole lot of FIFA 16 coins, meaning they can open more packs. Even that won't necessarily allow you to get good players though; because it is a random algorithm that controls what cards are in each pack, you have no guarantee that your hard-won coins will get you anything cool or rare at all.
A Better Way to Buy FIFA 16 Coins
With how difficult it is to pull a good card by earning coins regularly, it can become discouraging to play FUT after a while. FIFA does allow players to purchase another kind of currency with real-life money that can also be used to buy packs, but that isn't a great option either, because it ends up costing a lot of real world dollars.

Soccer! Or, as most of the world knows it, football! It is undeniably the world's most popular sport, with over 250 million players around the planet in 200 different nations. That's almost as many people as live in the United States, which means there are a lot of folks out there kicking balls around.
As you might expect, soccer's popularity in the physical world has directly translated to the realm of video games, where the FIFA series of football simulation games is one of the most popular sports video games of all time. Like its real-life counterpart, millions of players take time out of their days to play FIFA soccer, sitting down at consoles and PCs in just about every developed nation on earth to have a “footie match,” as the Brits affectionately say.
The FIFA series is the premier soccer simulator, being the go-to game to play both domestic teams such as the famous Real Madrid or Manchester United, as well as to test your football mettle with international teams. Developed officially by the real FIFA organization, the FIFA game series is the only action football simulator with all of the teams and players that gamers want, plus the actual real-world rosters, jerseys, stadiums and more.
FIFA's most recent editions, including FIFA 15 and the most-recent game FIFA 16, have a ton of thrilling modes: you've got your standard player-vs-player exhibition matches, a player career mode you can use to simulate a footballer's entire journey through the world of football, the hardcore manager career mode that puts you at the reigns of a world-class football organization, and, of course, the famous and beloved Football Ultimate Team or FUT mode.
