The Fortnite community fell in love with the Kinetic Blade ever since it came out in Chapter 4, Season 2. With the start of 2025, this beloved weapon makes a return for Fortnite’s first update of 2025, along with other community favorite OG weapons. Here’s what’s new with this update.
Unvaulted Weapons of 2025
Some classic weapons have made a return to the live BR mode, with the Kinetic Blade being one of the most popular. Its ability to knock back enemies with its primary fire and follow up with a dash attack made it one of the best dueling weapons in the game. The mobility granted for attacking with the Kinetic Blade also makes it a handy mobility tool like the Impulse Grenade or the Grappler, especially in No Build mode. Each dash attack costs 5% durability.
Another powerful weapon from Chapter 4, Season 2 is the Lock-On Pistol, which, as the name implies, is an auto-aim pistol that never misses the first 4 shots in the magazine. Its headshot multiplier is high and is a great weapon to start or end fights with.
Other OG weapons that were unvaulted include the slow but high-damage Ranger AR for medium to long-ranged engagements and the Suppressed SMG for close-ranged engagements.
Where To Find All Unvaulted Weapons
All the returning weapons are now part of the BR loot pool, though certain weapons can be found in more deterministic locations. Here’s where you can find them all:
● Kinetic Blade: In katana racks within Shogun’s Solitude, Demon’s Dojo, Lost Lake, and Warrior’s Watch.
● Lock-On Pistol: Found in chests, fishing, and out in the open world
● Ranger AR: A Mythic variant can be dropped by defeating Shogun X, who spawns in random locations on the map. Otherwise, lower rarity variants can be looted in chests and fishing.
● Suppressed SMG: In chests and world loot.
