Final Fantasy XIV offers gamers an ever-expanding world filled with a lot of content and features. Like many MMOs, FFXIV allows players to role-play as people from different races and classes. They can play as the intimidating Hrothgar or the small but powerful Lalafell. There are many races to choose from, and each one presents its own advantages and perks.

There is a total of 8 FFXIV races in the world of Eorzea. Each of these characters has varying appearances that will appeal to different players. Here are all the races in the world:

Hyur

Hyurs are the most human-like race in the whole game. They are one of the original races in the popular MMO. They have a slender build but athletic build. They also have the most general and aesthetically pleasing body frame, making any armor look good. They mainly appeal to players who want to role-play themselves in Eorzea.

Lorewise, the Hyurs are the most common race in the world of Final Fantasy. They are found in abundance in every place in Eorzea. Gamers can choose to play as male or female Hyurs. Here are the two clans for this race:

Midlander

This clan is the more populous of the two variants. These people have settled in the low and midlands in almost every region. They sport a slender and fair complexion. Here are the starting stats for the Midlanders:

Highlander

This clan is less common than their Midlander brethren. However, these people are still numerous. They have much more significant and bulkier builds. They are a tad bit taller than the other clan. Miqo’Te

These animal-like beings are one of the original races to appear in Final Fantasy XIV. They are humanoid creatures with small but athletic body frames. Their most distinctive features are their cat-like ears and tail.

Due to their animalistic nature, Miqo’Tes have developed keen senses of smell that make them one of the best hunters and trackers in Eorzea. These people are very territorial and live in solitude. They can be found anywhere throughout the world.

Seekers of the Sun

Seekers are Miqo’Tes who thrive under the sun. They love daylight and worship the Keeper of the Sun, Azeyma the Warden. They have a fair complexion and are generally found in the Sagolii Desert and Limsa Lominsa. Here are the starting stats for these cat-like creatures in FFXIV:
