Diablo 4’s Season 7, Season of Witchcraft is bringing new content to Sanctuary. With every new season comes new items to farm or grind for, and Restless Rot is one of those items, which is the seasonal currency of the game. To acquire plenty of Restless Rot for your needs, here’s an in-depth farming guide for Diablo 4 Season of Witchcraft.
How to Farm
Here’s how to farm for Restless Rot in the game.
Locations
Restless Rot can be acquired by defeating Headrotten mobs in Sanctuary. There are two areas where Headrotten spawns: Headhunt zones and Roothold Dungeons. The two areas will have plenty of Headrotten mobs; defeat them, and acquire plenty of Restless Rot. Easy enough. Headhunt zones tend to rotate periodically, so be on the lookout. As for Rootholds, come prepared with Whispering Wood Sigils to enter.
Drop Rate
The drop rate of Restless Rot depends on your difficulty Level. Taking on higher tiers will result in better drops.
Urn of Rot
To boost the amount of Restless Rot you earn from drops, you can use the Urn of Rot Blessing. The Urn of Rot’s effects boost the amount of Restless Rot dropped by slayed Headrotten. The Blessing can be acquired through the Season 7 Battle Pass. Be sure to have enough Smoldering Ash to acquire the Blessing.
How to Use
After grinding and acquiring Restless Rot from Headhunts and Rootholds, here’s how to use them.
Unlock and Upgrade Witchcraft Powers
Restless Rot can be used to Unlock and Upgrade Witchcraft Powers. Witchcraft Powers is a new mechanic from Season 7. Upgrade them by heading to your inventory and increasing your Witchcraft Powers.
Craft Occult Gems
Restless Rot is a crucial item when crafting Occult Gems. Craft the Gems you need: Gem Fragments, Fugitive Heads, and Restless Rot. The amount of Restless Rot you need to craft the Gems depends on the tier. Ensure you have enough Restless Rot for the Occult Gems you want to add to your build.
