What are Apparition Incursions?
Apparition Incursions are a boss rush challenge, where you have to defeat Apparition mobs and bosses, and finish the challenge by defeating Belial. The Incursion gives you rewards and Season 8’s new Boss Powers. Despite being a Seasonal event, it’s always active and will randomly spawn throughout Sanctuary.
Apparition Incursion Mechanics
Knowing what happens during an Apparition Incursion and how to complete it can help you be efficient during these challenges. To help you, here’s how the Apparition Incursions work in the game.
Defeat Apparition Mobs
To start, you'll need to find an Apparition Incursion area near you. Then you can begin defeating waves of Apparition Mobs. Once you complete a wave, you can interact with the Betraying Eye in the area to spawn the subsequent waves and progress faster. A build that focuses on survivability and damage should keep you alive until the end of the challenge. After clearing waves of Apparition mobs, you’ll be eligible to fight the Apparition Boss.
Defeat Apparition Bosses
You must first locate a green triangle rune to defeat an Apparition Boss. Locating and interacting with it will summon the Apparition Boss and reward you with its Boss Power. You can only get the Boss Power when you first interact with the green triangle rune with the new Apparition Boss. The Apparition Bosses are randomized, so if you want to get all the Boss Powers available through Apparition Incursions, you’ll need to be on the lookout. You need to defeat two Apparition Bosses to progress to face base form Belial.
Defeat Base Form Belial
Once you’ve cleared the two Apparition Bosses, you can face off against Base Form Belial. Base Form Belial acts like a Lair Boss and completely differs from questline Belial. The form seems weaker, but you still have to be careful when fighting it. After defeating Base Form Belial, you’ll receive a few rewards to help you progress in the game.
Apparition Incursion Rewards

The most important rewards to look out for during Apparition Incursions are Boss Powers. They improve your character’s build by giving it a Main and Modifier Effect. Spectral Ashes are meant to upgrade the Boss Powers you acquire. You also get Unveiler’s Oath Reputation, the new season’s reputation system that unlocks various rewards.
