The seasonal character reset has arrived in Diablo 4 Season of Witchcraft, and players are back to level 1 with their characters. The leaderboards are refreshing for players to reach the top 10 again, which means finding a quick and efficient way to reach the endgame. To get jump-started on the new seasonal content, here are a few ways to make your leveling experience much smoother.
Start at Normal Difficulty
While killing monsters on Hard and Expert onward may seem like a quick way to earn massive chunks of experience, it’s far more efficient to kill monsters fast in Normal mode as you can easily clear out dense groups. Starting on harder difficulties will take you more time to kill mobs, which can cut down on your XP gains. Clearing out groups in a reasonable time is enough to fast-track your leveling journey.
Participate in Seasonal Content
Season of Witchcraft has a few activities that you can take part in for increased XP rewards. One particular activity that has consistent XP payouts is the Headhunt Zones this season. These function like Helltides, with small objectives called Whispers for you to complete. Once you’ve done enough Whispers, you can head to the Raven of the Tree in the zone to claim Grim Favors.
Use Elixirs and Seasonal Blessings
A 5% experience buff may seem minuscule, but every little bit of bonus XP goes a long way to reaching level 60 quickly. Meanwhile, you’ll gain a currency called Smoldering Ashes in the season pass that can be used to get small QoL upgrades. One of these is the Urn of Aggression, which increases the experience you gain when killing a monster.
Play Torment Difficulty on Level 50+
This difficulty provides the biggest experience bonus but also requires a solid build and gear to survive as enemies start scaling beyond your current stats. This is recommended once you reach level 50 as the experience requirement each level onward gets significantly higher.
